That thing looks like it has been used for years and it's definitely low wattage. If there is one area you do not want to skimp on it is lighting.

Not really I would find a decent LED going to put out a lot more light with quite a bit less heat.

Go to horticulture lighting group and get a v1 Qb led thats on sale with a meanwell power supply

This might sound a little harsh, but a lot of new growers try to get by with spending as little as possible and just don't realize they are costing their selves a lot more in the long run. Micro grows are not easy to do, because they require a lot more maintenance and plant training that new growers just don't have any experience with, so I personally think they are a bad idea for new growers. If you don't have the money to start with something that is even close to suitable then wait until you do. The only other money saving option is to wait until the season is here and grow outside. The light is one of the most important parts of your setup.

Unfortunately the V1 boards have been discontinued. They are no longer for sale on HLG's webpage.

TFC is right on, You will be less than happy with results from that type of light

If it's a true micro grow then get something like the HLG-65. If you want to be able to grow in more and 1 sqft then you need something bigger.
