Is This Light Good Or Not SOMEONE????

The 400w for $150 is a great price. I might even pick up one of those myself. You will probably find it cheaper if you take a trip to the store. I like Floralux because its an all-in-one system, just plug it in and start growing. It also has 4" vent holes if you want to add ducting/inline fans.

Mornin'... Just wanted to chime in here for a second, if I might. I personally have the MOM keeper from HTG which came with my 4' x 4 HO T5 6500k Lumen output lighting. These are wonderful for seedlings and clones as majek has already said but there are ppl here that grow start to finish under T5's and do well. When you get a chance hop on ov'a there and check out the awesome things that can be done with T5's.

This is the MOM keeper. I luv it but it was my FIRST purchase and if I had to do again I would get them separately. (that in-line fan is junk, imho).

I absolutely luv my T5's. They can be kept mere inches from the tops of plants and keep them nice and compact.

I see for a 150w or 250w that light setup would work good, but I don't like them one bit.

#1, heavy as f%$k.For hanging a hood. All in one no thanks

#2, heat is the number one way to kill a ballast--You see where I going with this??
# 3, air cooling them, sucks-- I had one too.
Having a remote ballast, and hood is the way to go if you can, also you still need a bulb for the light.$35-$120, timer, fan, temp gauge, etc.

Thanks, they are still growing I'll be trimming in about 2 weeks :)

I completely agree with you on T5's, I've never used them so I can't really comment, but I've seen some awesome results with them. The mother keeper is great I've seen it in the htg store a few times.
Thats the advantage of using T5/CFL, they run alot cooler so you can keep the plants alot closer.
And yes the 4" inline is truly crap, too bad I already bought 2 of them :(

Agreed, remote ballast and hood is best if you can afford it. I was just offering advice for a beginner/budget setup.
The Floralux ballast does run hot, and its right above the plants so it can cause heat stress if you are not careful. I use lots of ventilation for that reason. I think they are great for beginners though.
HTGSupply also has great deals on hoods and ballasts they are worth taking a look at before making your decision.

@Majek

hey dude so i purchased a 430 watt and i mounted it onto the ceiling and its 10-12 inches away from my plants is this good its not burning or anything and the bulb also has a reflector.
also ill send post pics later.

one concern is my room is hot it goes up to 90 degrees i fan it and im hoping you can tell me what i should do will it kill it hmmm tell me
also at night it goes down to 75

will i be okay im worried dude ugh my first time

Hazsard, you will be ok running at that temp. however you wont get as quality of buds as if it were 10 degrees cooler. ultimately though try and create some more airflow and make sure the air is being circulated. Its kinda ghetto but you can fill milk jugs with water and freeze them, then place them in a 5 gallon bucket in front of your fans and this will help too.
