Hello everyone .I bought a lamp - http://www.mezoko.com/LAMPA_SODOWA_POLAMP_WLS_TC_400W_E40-267.html

2000 Kelvin - Is it good enough for flowering ?

I hear about some HPS which are the best K for flowering . It was something like .... gro lux hps lamp . Its more expensive than that one i said .
Thanks .
Yes, that's good. Although the number I see most often on HPS bulbs is 2100K, that is close enough. From what I gather, what you want is a 7,000K MH (or 6,500K flourescent) for veg, a 2100K HPS for flower and possibly a 10,000K MH for the last 2 weeks of flower, to get lots of UV-B to stimulate trich production at the end.

MH lamp is 7000 K ,but i switch it with this 2000 k for flowering, but these 10 000 k i hear that they are kind of expensive ... are there any cheaper 10 000k or less - 9 000 k or 8 500 k bulbs ?
Thanks KT420 for the answer .

10000k is not gonna have any more UVB than 8500, 7000k or even 6500k. the best bulb for veg is 7000k or 5000k(which is also really good for flower) IMO

no reaon to use 10000k at all period.

as far as flower they make HPS with a higher PAR velue and they tend to be rated at the lower the value does not mean better in the case of HPS since they can only make the PAR value higher by raising the K value of HPS. some of yellow green light is replaced for blues when they do this making it more useful for horticulture than lighting.
