Some people have love for the led game. So much to discuss, compare, and bicker over. Go back 15 years and what could guys talk about? Diy'ing filters, growdrobes and and hydro stuff.

LED is where its at for the diy. Mods might say stats are on the up in the seed and breeding section, but that goes with the territory. Everyone believes they missing out without the new new.

The only one here full of shit is you. HLG builds a quality product and backs them up and their customer service is excellent. And the last 2 years they have made their own boards, other than the Diablo, which is made by Samsung themselves. So if you think the Chinese ripoff boards are superior to them, your not only full of shit, your not too smart either. Now if instead of showing your ignorance, you's like to actually have an intelligent discussion about why you seem to dislike HLG, well we can do that too.

I have noticed that as well. Light the room, not the plants seems to be the conventional wisdom. I have the same issues as you, one thing I really miss about HPS lighting is it was up high out of the way lol. I think my next space I will set the lights in a permanent spot even if it takes extra wattage it is worth it not having to headbutt aluminium angle

one can get sloppy adjusting the height.
what helps to not headbutt the light are side openings.
havent headbutted this run so far, the openings helped, or my brain simply learned to avoid.

haha my brain is kinda slow these days. I would also like them up higher for spraying. I am not sure if my DIY lights should really be getting sprayed with essential oils and silicate and sulfur but no fires yet

yes, thats true.
i luckily dont need to spray anything atm.
not going extremly low anymore too,, while i could,, i just go low.
light is a tad softer that way.

im 6’3” tall and have my lights hung 6’4” for this exact reason. I use 3 gallon or 5 gallon buckets to adjust the height of my plants and also to catch the run off.

maybe led lights need a warning sticker "dont hang me in the blind spot"
like some car mirrors have.


as long its above your head OR significant lower, its fine.

Forget your newest, latest, mid-powered bar lights I got the freshest LED shit right here...

Some shit hot growers just ran these against cmh hps and per watt hlg claims are fucking in the next galaxy, totally out of the park, take a right at sirius and keep going 20 millionlight years. It really looked like they are still not pushing otber lights yet but getting closer than couple years ago.

But why use hlg, all leds are overpriced, the best and most efficient isnt hlg and if you bitch about price then may i remind you that that shouldnt be an issue because leds are exspensive so expect it.

So hlg suck, i can do a lot better thesedays, has beens almost.
