Hi i was told that when it comes to harvesting my crop, it is best to leave it for about 36-48 hours of complete darkness before i harvest, is this true, as i dont want to rush things for the sake of another two days cheers guys

Stress the plant..its thinks its gonna die and increases trich production.

The idea being that THC is created overnight, and then the sun slowly degrades it, and it get's built bak up again the following night and so on. That is the thinking. A study found that a 36 hour dark period before harvest increased the THC by 30% or such.

It is one of those things though, i've done it and not done it, and regardless whether it made a difference in terms of it's composition, it certainly never made any perceptible difference when i smoked it.
