Is this bug a mj pest?

Never seen this before.. Just won a battle with root aphids and then this guy shows up.. But it's not the root aphids I've been battling. Looks like a fly of some type. It runs away and hide behind leaves when I chased it with my finger lol. I included two pics. One close up and the original. Thanks!

Do you know which predatory insect it is, kagecog? Is there something about it that tells you it's harmless? (I'm curious how to determine it)
 
Minute Pirate Bug ! Both immature adults and larvae feed on a variety of small prey including thrips, spider mites, insect eggs, aphids, and small caterpillars.

This is what I thought you had at first glance but I think the head on yours is bigger. could you take more pics to clarify please?
