Is this a good way to deal with fan leaves?

My plant is extremely bushy, especially the Fan leaves. Should I be tucking them away by attaching them like in my picture? Or should I trim them? I have no idea how to do this correctly.

I would not cut any leaves at this moment try raising the light up to get some stretch of get more a more powerful light?

I agree, you should not remove any leaves, the plant needs them to grow.

Ok cool. So I raise the lights to make them stretch out? I'm using CFLs, everyone keeps saying to keep them as close as possible.

Yeah keep those cfls close and keep those fan leaves on. Good to see your on the right track. Remember leaves produces bud. More leaves more bud. Tuck them if need be but keep them on and green. Good luck. Hope it helps

I wouldn't worry, its not like they are blocking anything . good luck
