Looks good to me! Supplement with a couple CFL's to round out the spectrum, imo, but that should rock a single plant. Hope your grow goes well.

Depends on how many plants you're growing, I wouldn't grow more than 1-2 plants under one of those..

For a buck twelve you can't go too wrong

One light does not work for both v + B, unless the spectrums needed for flower are on a separate o/o switch

What I like is also what I don't like- the uv diodes (like) probably aren't very good quality and will likely destroy the lenses' cover

Also, don't like that 660 is in the mix. Some plants love it, others not so much. I only use it during flower

CFLs? WTF? Why? Supplement with screw bulb leds. Doubt me? Follow my thread and see for yourself.

I would imagine that is a 45 watt ufo... 1 watt diodes not 3w....still good for early veg and supplement lighting ....if you are going to buy ufos from ebay or amazon buy the 90watt models ..90x1watt diodes ..they are the same price $110 or so,...people are buying 45watt ufos for $50 and reposting them as 135W for twice the price, just my opinion though.....check my ufo grow journal is in my sig .

i bought a different unit from that same guy, its been working good. his units use 3w lights. id say 1 plant under that would be ideal

ive been growing under it and im happy with it so far. got 2 autos and 2 widows under a 180w units, and im planning on buying a second unit here in a couple weeks so ill have 2 plants per light. this is a 2 week old polar express autoflower. theres is a tiny bit of nute burn but thats my soil not my light :) my widows are a week younger and are just putting out there second leaf set, so not much to show on them. but ive been very happy with growth, no stretch, nice tight nodes, and the plants are healthy and happy

ofcourse, its in veg.... ill be surprised if you pull more then a few popcorns at the end. But its cheap so its good just to mess around with 1 or 2 plants.

LOL indeed.. You will get similar results with a few 40w'ers at this point. I wouldn't pull that trigger on another panel until you know it can do at least what the blackstar or something does you know.. Good luck!

I've tried to find relative info in other threads so I thought I might ask in this one seems related... are the grow lights made with reg 1w LEDs any good? Like say a light with 230 reg 1w or even under 1w leds is that gonna work? Was even thinking of DIYing one maybe notice some people do that here.

Hell yea, 1watters will work. Check out the "7 Plants Under Astir" thread, or whatever it is called. That's all 1W diodes.

Make sure you get a good price on them, though, and try to find the largest chips you can. Do some research and then research some more. I bought 40mil Whites, 38mil Blues, 38mil Reds, etc. It's a hodgepodge of cheap Chinese stuff found on eBay. I'm only in veg right now, so take what I say with a pretty huge grain of salt, but my plant seems to really like them. I've got a couple multichip LED's in there over that plants and I really don't have to get the supplemental panels that I made with 1W chips very close at all before some of the side leaves start looking at those instead of the overhead spotlight.

Random note: What about straight up Pink LED's? Call me crazy , but check this webpage out.

Like, wtf?! Some of those look REALLY good...

Remember that any led can not be powered much more then 50% of its wattage to maintain life and heat. I wouldn't recommend anything less then a 3w chip if you had the choice. Ofcourse the 1w units will be going for much cheaper now. Watch out for 3w chips that are just 3 1w's fused together.

Also, all the good lights I have seen give of a pink hue with the mix of reds and blues in there.
