is this a good setup to start with?

It doesn't look bad but growing 6 plants that close together means you need to keep them small, which usually means growing from seed is out of the question.

You know you can make that for under$70. Google it, every thing you need at lowes or hd/

Looks like a good setup, if keep really small.

I just saw it for $100, but wats shipping?

Id recommend going with one or two 5gal DWC setups before that. You can put your own together for half the cost and get better results.

2x5gal buckets- $5
2x6"netpot lids - $5
Hydroton - $10 with plenty left over
2x Air stones and airline- $5
Air pump - $15-85 - This is where you really decide what the limits of your system are. Small walmart pump will work but not very well. A 45lpm commercial pump woud be great for 2 buckets, anything bigger will let you expand without issues.

So you can have everything done for about $50.

Listen to mike91sr. Except buy at least 1 backup air pump. Can be a cheapie if backup. But as a Harley rider since 1969 ain't no way I would have my pot growing and just 1 pump. Otherwise he as it down and sage advice for cheap.

A 3.75" hole saw will make an opening just perfect for 4" net pots. Hint: run your drill backwards to cut a smooth hole with one of these aggressive hole saw blades. Then cut a 1" hole to access with your pH and TDC/EC meters, add water, nutrients etc.

Wally World even sells camo 5-gallon buckets!

Great setup. I have done 7 grows with one just like that...They will grow many times faster than in dirt. Just use lots of light, change your rez every week and watch your pH and temps....and dont over fert...after all, these are weeds

Individual containers for each plant is better. Don't forget a way to keep your temps in check. If you are going stealth in a grow box, temps are gonna be a bitch and you're gonna have to spend some money on ventilation. Instead of buckets I use rubbermaid cooler which helps keep the cold in, but if temps aren't a big problem you should be fine. Last thing you need is to invest money in a setup only to get going with shitty slimy roots in 80* buckets.

Thank you Yea I definitely been looking at all the DIY setups and that sure is the way to go my biggest issue now is the the grow box which I feel I would have to dish out some green cause I don't have the tools required for a build I did find a stealth cabinet on ebay for 200.00 complete with everything needed to start 24" height 16" wide and 11" deep and comes with ·1x Seed germinating guide·3x 6500K CFL Grow bulbs for vegetative stage

·1x Quiet wall mounted hydroponic air pump with tubing
·1x Reservoir with 2 plant lid(up to 8 plant lids available at no extra charge just request it at checkout)
·2x Net pots with grow cubes to plant seeds in
·1x Hydroton clay pebbles
·2x Airstones for hydro pump
·1x pH test kit
·1x Vegetative phase hydroponic fertilizer
·1x Flowering phase hydroponic fertilizer
·1x Quiet intake fan for supplying fresh air to plants
·1x Quiet exhaust fan to remove hot air from box

I am thinking of making the investment as my trial an error and grow from here as i learn and become more efficient and gain knowledge

2' tall? Buckets are barely gonna fit under the lights inside something that size, let alone the plants. You could look into tents, a much bigger one can be had for under $100. You'll just need lighting and ventilation.

A quality a/c 400w setup can be had for under $200, even less for a 250w, and fans are around $50. So its a little more expensive than that kit, but youll be MUCH better off.

http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=16 I am looking to start my first grow and looking for some advice as to start with ponics system or do a soil grow this seems more pricey to start up but a better reward and less maintenance apperciate any feed back or suggestions thanks
I have used one of these setups before and you can get a descent harvest from this (4+ oz), but for the money you spend a simple DIY setup will give you greater flexibility to expand when needed.

Go with a grow tent and some rubbermaid bins, you will need extra money for the fans, filter, nutes, and grow medium (soil, hydroton)
