yeah im thinking that is a much better idea, thanks for the help and will probably just get two lower cfm fans. more versatile anyway.
i say in jorge video that as long as the air comming in isnt under 65 you will fine..ive read on here people bringing there night temps in the 50s..so no i think you'lll be fine..and the glass will def be fine..i run cold air through mine
you should look into scrog. i did a grow the same size as yours with a 400 watt. and didnt start learning about scrog tell about half way in..i wish i would of done it that way i think it would of got me a better yeild
Here is an easy way to setup your grow-space. Just get a fan filter combo from htgsupply.com, it will run you like 150 bucks but i don't think you will regret it. View attachment 1229499
is there no way u can make or have a bigger box or room in order to grow u need a cloneing station, veg area, flowering etc personally u need to split ur box in 2 veg area and flowering this means u need to make it bigger cause as u put ur girl in flower u can start another in veg.
You got to figure out cubic feet of air in ur box then find a fan that will exhaust it properly anyone can build a box stick a exhaust fan in it an grow away but maintaining proper humidity, heat is the key to any grow,
all them factors are key to having a sucessfull healthy plant and yield
The second plan, two fans, is the most efficient. Bringing in outside air to the lower intake port isn't necessary. In fact, in winter the cold blast will definitely slow down growth. Maybe worse. Probably won't hurt the cooltube though.
Basement air may also be too cold, if so, exhaust lamp heat into the basement to warm it up. Be sure to put a damper on the intake to help keep it warm at lights out. Added bonus, it'll help lower your overall heat bill as warm air rises into the house.
Basements are the best place to grow because they don't have radical temp. fluctuations. This should ensure basement air to be cool enough even in summer.
BTW, 400w hps should be perfect for that space. Plantlightinghydroponics has the best fan prices on the net. I've bought several Vortex from them over the years.
One question, how close are your neighbors? Hot, steamy air blasting out a basement window 12 hours a day all winter might be a bit suspicious.
Hope this helps,
Fred
Nice, good to know its possible. What kind of grow do you have going? if you don't mind me asking.
