Fact is, The plant can normally use 10-30% of that light made.. with this light, the plant uses almost all available lumens and light emitted ,
 
haha 65 bucks for 42 watt cfls is terrible. You can get the same amount of watts at home depot or lowes for less than half of that. check out 1000bulbs.com for cfls i prefer smaller bulbs like 23 26 watt you can place the more instead of a couple big ones. However have seen people have success with big ones.. But anyways that is scam do not buy that shit
 
Yeah 4bulbs for $65 plus $15 s&h $80 not good!! go to home depot!

Edit: I got my 68 watters at home depot for 14.95 each you could get 5 of them for less than the ones your looking at
 
I dont have one up yet. But im doing some research. I think im gonna grow in Coco soil and use CFL's for my lighting
 
Your local wally world likely has a decent deal on the smaller cfl's but the net such as ebay and amazon can save you a lot of money on the 125Watt and higher cfl's but 26 through 68 are best purchased offline. (Home depot has 68 watters in 2700K for $18 or something like that)

Yeah my 68 watters are 2700K they were 14.95 @ HD
 
they have those 42 watt at walmart for like 9 ucks each and they have the 55watt cfls for 13.95 each i believe so that is a rip off be glad you asked before you bought but yea walmart 42 for 9 and 55 for 13
 
Heres a link to my journal when I was using CFL'S. I liked the shoplights from walmart they were ten bucks and another five bucks for 2 four foot 6500 bulbs.
