i cant tell if its to early or not but is this a female?

see those single flowers with two little hairs comming out those mean its female, if they are balls hanging there instead of what you see in the pics then its male.

usually, those pics are from about 5 days into flowering on my current grow. but if you veg long enough those preflowers will show on a big plant.
 
if you want to keep it under three feet i would only let them veg untill they are about 12in tall cause they will stretch at least twice in hight sometimes three times depends on what strain your growing and your conditions lights/temp/nutes ect.
 
hermi is when a female plant starts to grow male pollen sacks which is bad for smokable bud but good feminized seeds can be made if you let them go and take care of them till they die naturally. no way to tell how much bud you will get depends on how your treating the plant, it needs tons of light, i have a 400w hps that gives 50,000 lumens on two plants. and also how well you do with the feedings/waterings. and you can only clone if its still in veg cant do it well during flowering. but a three foot plant could definatly give a ton of clones.
 
wtf scratch that last post dont know what happend there. yea mines hydro under 2 26watt cfl a 28in. 75watt grow floro. and and 18in. 65 watt full spectrum floro. is that enough for it?
 
I'm gonna barge in and ask Dr. G a question here if yuo would be so kind.....I have a habitat that is probably 85% light tight. It is inside a room that has alot of electronics...so there is alot of power lights but no other light.......should I seal up my habitat with tape or the lihe before flowering, to prevent the slight amount of light from the electronics in the outer room? Inside the habitat I can not see a drib of light, so all I am asking with all these words....do the power lights on electrical devices stress the dark cycle?
 
If you want decent yield and small plants...top them, and maybe a little LST as well on the side branches to promote more bud sites. You'll end up getting a plant that's usually fat and not tall.

Thank you so much.....that is exactly the definitive type of answer I wqas seeking. Rep to you homegrown....I got some taping and disabling of components to do..no worries...I have plenty of time, as I JUST germed seeds....peace.
