Is this a deal?

I have been getting everything from my local hydro store except for my led lighting from timber grow lights. However i am looking for a lower upfront cost for lighting now that i have expanded...

I can get a hood , cheap magnetic ballast and bulb for about 180 out the door from hydro store.

However i recently stumbled onto this and i know its not going to be the same as say hortilux brand... but what are your thoughts on this? Ballast is digital, covered on warranty, and has HPS and MH bulbs included.

I also am looking into the vivosun brand fan/filter combo on amazon... the 6" 440 cfm fan , filter, hangers, and duct work all for about the same price as a cheaper brand 6" fan from my local hydro store.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated. I don't need cream of the crop... just something that works and will get me through for a while and grow a good product.

I don't want to spend the upfront cost of led at this time, i plan to do 1000w hid to get a larger coverage for low cost for my first year of runs or so. I know led is better efficiency and wavelength but it's not in the budget... kinda just looking to know if anyone has heard of this brand or has any feedback if it would be worth purchasing

Honestly just go to yout local hydro store, or online hydro store and buy everything seperetly, youll have better products at a lower price.

These online kits are just cheap junk, and especially amazon

$1000 is cheap, considering you should pull atleast a pound and a half under it, 1 run, light pay for itself,
If 1000$ was in the budget though i wouldn't be concerned about it lol.

When moving i lost my mother's, i now have a much larger area and will be expanding my light area run by run, if i can get a good enough light to pull decent bud from for less than 200-300 for the 1000w setup I'm gonna try for that, i can upgrade it later after a couple runs but I'm not budgeting for top shelf yet.

Digital ballasts are prrtty much the same. I'd buy that kit in a heartbeat for that price.

If you or anyone are considering pulling the trigger on that $192.95 kit, or one similar, please read this whole thing first.

This is my exact setup with links. $192.97 Free 2 day shipping. Better deal for the same $, IMO.
DE Bulb:
151,000 lumens anyone? The hps bulb that comes in the kit you linked is an SE bulb and has 140,000 lumens on the box, and 130,000 in the description (seen here). The replacements are also $6 more expensive than the DE. DE bulbs also have a longer usable lifespan.
Vented Hood: (Double ended)
The hood will support any double ended bulb. Those reviews are lame. The hood is high quality.
Digital Ballast:
This ballast is 600w, 750w, 1000w, 1100w. Most are 50%, 75% 100% 110%.
What this means is that the % ballast can't really run any bulb but a 1000w efficiently, unless you want to run a 600 at 500w, or 750w...both are a no for me. You could run a 400 at 500w.... I'll pass on that, too. The dimmed 1000w puts the bulb out of spectrum, also a no.
The linked ballast will allow you to also run a 600w bulb efficiently in the same hood, if you ever really need to dim.
Here is another one for $11 cheaper bringing the total to $181.97. Imo you would be way better off with these than the items in those kits.

I went with this setup because I may go dual 600's someday and these would be compatible except the bulb. Or I may not, either way it's a good setup for the price.

-It doesn't include the hangers and timer, but that is cheap stuff. The video...you have the internet.

Here is a great timer.
Here are good hangers

If you don't already have them.
