Is there that much difference in quality over price?

Have bought seeds before from well known vendors single seed costing around £10

germinated harvested smoked absolutely fine

thc said to be 28+ on some but would actually need to test to clarify

then other sellers are aelling seeds £50-£100 for 5
i understand there are difference in genetics but why is there such a curve in pricing when the cheaper seeds are probably just as good or are they all crap in comparison

so far the best ive tried is barneys farm blue gelato 41 that was an impressive yeild from a batch of clones . but i have £100 to spend and im thinking go for gold lol who is better than Barneys and is it worth it to buy more than few more expensive especially with well known reputable sellers

As for breeders id spend with besides barneys look into karma his seeds are good if u want more pricey stuff or look into seedstockers if u want some cheap decent seeds

There is a minimum price for good seeds. The stock has to be fresh, selecting suitable plants takes time and growing space and the breeder usually demands a living wage.

Beyond that there are costs for marketing, packaging and retail outlets take their cut too. For *really* expensive seeds there is also the phenomenon that expensive stuff sells better. The customer has the expression that it must be really good if it costs that much so is more likely to buy it.

Tell that to mr kc brains his seeds still cheap as chips like £6 a pack of regs and he is one of the only breeders specialising in outdoor bred stuff as well and been around ages even his new crosses with the latest hype stuffs are like £15 for 5 fems or verdant green he £40 a pack bit dearer but he uses real cuts and his works good for me to justify paying £200 a pack it need to be something amazing i however do agree with your point that people apply the same logic to seeds as they do to fashion or cars or whatever they usually assume more it costs the better it is and ime it isnt always the case with weed seeds

I was guilty of associating quality with price and that's not the case.

The sun is cheap. How could he charge lower prices and still he profitable?
He is in holland and holland isnt very tolerant of breeding these days yet he still does it there rather than buy in seeds from spain like most dutch outfits plus karma uses two of his strains in a number of crosses as well as for pricing how many american breeders grow in greenhouses or outdoors and sell there seeds 10 dollars a pack ? Pretty much none that i know of yet the got the legality and better climate for it
