is there ever too many lights?

is there a chance to put too many lights in one room? as if I just hung a bunch of adjust a wings end to end and side by side filling the ceiling of a room would I just be wasting light?

Too much HID lighting in one room could harm cannabis. Hanging HID's too close to Cannabis can be very harmful. Unless you live off grid with your own solar panel energy it would also be a waste of money(electric bill). The only time this would work is if you used low watt HID's like 150 watts. All the professional grow rooms I've seen or made had lamps spaced feet apart. :peace:

If I were to do that, I'd run a grid, where you alternate 50% of the lamps being on at any one time.

Heat is the major factor when it comes down to too many lights, as well as the high operating cost of not only the lights themselves, but the capital and operational costs in venting all the excessive heat.

yes, you can have too much light.. plants only need x amount of light to photosynthesize, and anything over that is pretty much a waste..

also, as said, more lights, more heat, more problems..
