im going out to buy a ph kit and maby some nutrients for my plants

any ideas of what brand or type i should get?

id buy a ph PEN...

instead of a test kit... it will pay for it self after you have bought a few kits and its spot on unlike the strips where you just match the colour

what does ph do exactly



how much does and ph pen cost?

when i use ph do i just feed it to the plant straight

and what about nutrients

A liquid ph kit costs less then $15 a pen costs over $50. I use the cheap liquid kit. If you grow in soil it works good enough. You make the choice.

I use Fox Farm for ferts.

well i just found a ph kit for my pool


would there be any reason it woulnt work


it also tests chlorine and stuff

this is whats in my kit

chlorine neutralizer,acid demand and total alkalinity,phenol red...indicator solution, total alkalinity test,phenol red ph solution, then there this tube u put the water in and do what you do


what should i use to lower the ph lvl

im guessing its high the colors green on the ph tester and on the bottle it goes through the colors and what the colors represent

it goes from white being veary low to dark baby blue

$12.99... and thats way better then any strip/kit

Also how many kits you going to have to buy for 3 months/1 grow ?

your spend alot more on them then 12.99 and they will last you years if looked after and cleaned

i only have 10 maby 15 dollars

and i dont know what the greenish color meens when the label for the ph levels only go up to a dark baby blue color

most cheap ones work with universal indicator which is a mixed one chemically seen, blue is alkaline and red acid, if you in green it is about neutral so aroundish 7, but if you ask me, those kits aren't worth the time nor money. if you not planning to start a single grow and then quite on growing get a quality pH meter. i know mogie loves to grow cheap, but going cheap means all to often to run costly over longer periods. my cheap pH-meter cost me 20 bucks and is just a little less accrued as my 150 bucks one or the 1000 bucks one i got at work, okay that got a digit more and accrued to that digit but whatever
