Is there a way to slow growth?

Hi guys is there a way to slow down growth in plants? I ask because simce getting my clones in a very poor condition 3 of them had severely stunted in growth while the other 3 are growing very well. The 3 well growing plants were transplanted to their 5 gal final pot (yes im aware that it is difficult to water them correctly been fairly small for the pot) 4 days ago i had hoped that the transplant would slow them down but no they are still growing like crazy n the little ones are playing catch up. Basically is there a way to slow down the growth of the bigger ones too allow the little ones to catch up? Any insight and advice greatly appreciated as always. Thanks.

I would maybe top the big ones this should slow growth for a few days to a week. maybe do some lst on the others later when they are stronger/bigger.

I have looked into topping them but i worry that being such a novice ill fck it up lol i am intending on lst for all of them though and even that worrys me ha. Thanks for the advice bro.

Also pulling of a bunch of fan leave will slow it up. High stress training also slowes them. Honestly if they are that much slower thay may never catch up....pics....... Traini g may be all it takes if they are that much smaller (pics man pics) may just get rid of them and just veg out the larger ones. Remember yeald has nothing to do with plant count.

Yeah i figured it was unlikely for them to ever fully catch up regardless of what i do to try and slow them. I know what you're saying about yield and such but i dont want to pull any plants after all this is my first grow and i am likely to make mistakes no matter how much i research i figure keeping the smaller ones around at least i have numbers. Would be fucked if i pulled the smaller then fucked up the larger lol.

It will all be down to how well the roots were developed from one clone to another. The stunted ones wont have been rooted as well. Once they lag its hard to get them to catch up. They probably wont. I would go steady with the small ones with watering, don't water so often and allow them to dry out a bit more than the big ones. If your not organic I would consider using some h2o2 in the water to add oxygen, that will help if the roots are struggling, they can soon go south if in a medium which stays wet too long due to lack of root mass. The Oxygen will prevent them getting worse and improve their growth. A small amount of kelp never hurt any vegging plant either.

You could butcher a lot of the growth on the big ones, thus them been topped and LST the smaller ones. The LST wont slow them but the topped ones will slow down. That might bring them a bit closer in size, plus you get to see the difference between a topped plant and an LSTd one.

Carry on with them and you can learn from any mistakes you make.

If you use h202 make sure to re add microbes.

Wasnt so much the roots of the clones when i got them that was the problem. The roots in their pellets were good its the fact that they guy brought all 6 of them crushed up in his hands leaves were battered and broken one even had its primary growth stem completely crushed this one took the longest to recover but is growing well now i think it may even be topped from the fact that its main shoot was crushed will try get a pic because fact is i havnt got a clue haha

The first image is the plant that had main shoot crushed just starting to show growth 4 days after potting. The second image was take today 9 days later. Does it look topped? Like i said i havnt got a clue. Doesnt really matter to me wether it is or not.

Looks like a stressed out lil plant to me. You could try some supercropping, on your taller plants. I had to try it, this time - it's nerve racking, for the first time, but it'll slow em down.

Stressed is an understatement if you had seen the state of them upon delivery. Thanks for the input bro

As long as they are still vegging immature (i.e. making twin sets of branches) you can't fuck it up. Just nip off all the growth tips as they appear and try and tie branches down in groups at the same height or all at the same height if doing scrog. Each tip you nip off turns into two new ones. Like a THC Hydra. The amount of flowers you can produce depends on access to nutrients, rootball size, and light.

Best is to start small, nip it down to 2 sets of branches once it reaches 4 or 5 nodes high. then aggressively keep nipping those growth tips out as the branches develop. Once the branches start coming out one at a time on opposing sides, it is done vegging and preparing for flowering, now you let it go crazy, make sure to hit it with some bloom nutes to ensure the development of lots of bloom sites.

I know you are trying to get the small 3 plants to catch up, it is not going to happen, put something underneath them so they are the same height as the rest, and let them do what they can. A retarded plant never catches up to its potential.

Thanks for the advice ANC. Im not intending to scrog or top the plants saving that kind of thing until i have a few grows under my belt. But i will try training them all. End game im going for 3x600watt hps 2 plants to each light during flower. Retards they may be and no doubt be much smaller then the other 3 when i flip them all but like i said its my first grow and ive already learnt from a mistake dont buy clones from an idiot haha

near impossible to fuck up a topping if you leave nodes under your cut with a clean blade.

not retarded, growers make errors though during cultivation that cause results just like that.
start with seeds for the win

Let the one that are growing faster sit in there pots longer before you repot them. Repot the slower ones sooner and they will eventually catch up with them. Root bound will have slow growth in veg

Ok i got alot going on here one i tried fimming way to early and cut to high my question is after they recover from this can i just topp this old retarded growth and still grow them out just plain out ugly these are just bag seeds my ones from nirvana wont go threw these mistakes i also gave them root inhancer to early smh learning...

I wouldn't. It should grow out of it next set of leaves.

But i won't get extra chutes?
