is there a Marijuana growing sight i can go that doesn't have all the childish bullshit?

I have been away from RIU for several years. I have been on here a little lately and I am honestly tired of all the bashing and bullshit on this sight. Is there a forum somewhere else online or a section here on RIU that maybe i have missed where i can view lots of grows, read all kinds of helpful threads, and talk with other growers that may have a little more experience than myself and that really just enjoy growing and helping others? Or is a bunch of bashing and bullshit the best i can expect to find?

LOL I can't even get into politics with people. I like a lot of other people have very strong opinions and will not be swayed one way or the other. I am a pretty conservative guy... I just like to relax and smoke once in a while. I think the stuff should be made legal just like alcohol and tobacco. I have no desire to get into any political threads with anyone on here. That's not why i am here.

I’ve found that it takes a little time to figure out who you want to “hear” (follow) and “not hear” (block)
There are definitely some real knowledgeable growers here as well as a ton of sarcasm and some real idiots.
I am disabled and bored. I enjoy the idiots mostly as well as the regular trolls so I don’t block anyone. I’m entertained by the stupidity lol but I could see how frustrating it would be if you were pressed for time and looking for information. That being said I still have learned so much.

Yes Icmag, mods stricter and less pressure subjects.

Our site is more for those that dont fit in there.

meh I think herb & suds has the nail on the head here. I've seen even the gardening section have minor flare ups here. Its part of the character of the internet i guess. There used to be a forum for gardening that got subsumed by Houzz where it was mostly folks looking to improve their roses or get pink hydrangeas, but honestly I learned a ton about the broader worlds of botany and horticulture by zooming out and spending some time away. I think if you leaver RIU for a while to detox, you'll still be able to hone your growing skills, and will then be able to return periodically when you want to talk more specifically about the peaceful herb .

I was away for a couple of years and noted likewise . However there are some great threads. Like wheat. Take the grain and blow the chaff off. Check Big Perm's Grow Box, GroErr and more. Some good builds and grows. Welcome back

Why not just stay out of the childish stuff? I know it's hard but sometimes it's best to just walk away and not respond any further. I do that with posts all the time. Although I'm guilty of being a childish jerk now and then. I usually just move on and try and avoid any drama. There are plenty of good informative posts on this site. No need to engage in one that goes down the gutter.
