so i've current got 26 strong seedlings that will be three weeks on sunday. i plan to veg these girls for another 3 weeks minimum. they are currently under 2000 watts metal halide.

i started germination of 4 more DP Blueberry three days ago. 3 germed in 24 hrs and planted into pro-mix seed starter. 2 popped up to say hello today. these are fem seeds, and i germed 4 more cuz of the 26 plants i have the 4 blueberry look the strongest, most already on the 5 node. Worldwide Marijuana Seeds accidentally sent me feminized, they apologized, and the new 10 pack of regulars is on the way.

If these 3 new girls don't reach the height i need when the switch gets flipped, can i throw them under the 8 t8 cfls i have for the last week or 2 with any problems?

I don't know what the efficiency of t8s are, but if you were doing them under 8 48 inch T5 I would say that would be every bit as good.

I've never tried it but I'm sure it would be o.k. It might slow growth down considerably. HID's are more of a point source of light therefore they penetrate further down the plant. Fluoro's are more spread out and are generally better for shorter plants. With that in mind, as long as they are still pretty short you should be o.k. Best of luck.

If you are trying to put plants that are taller than a foot under fluoros you are probably gonna have some issues.

well 2 of the 4 i have currently aren't even 3 weeks and are about 7-8 inches. so in a few weeks i would imagine 2 out of the new 3 will be about the same. so HOPEFULLY they'll take off and be about a foot in 3 weeks from sunday. if not i'd like to throw them under the t8s i have for about at least a week. but i might just say F*@K it bud em with the rest. still have the dp blueb regulars on the way ya know.

This is one of the most difficult things I think there is about growing.....figuring out what the best thing to do based on what your situation and setup is. There are so many things to take into consideration and every decision will have some effect, sometimes good and sometimes bad. Best of luck to you my friend and I hope you get it figured out.
