is pg&e cheaper to leave light on day or night?

My boys that grow tell me the complete opposite one says night one says day? 3 weeks away from 12\12 and want to keep lights on for cheapest way..... thanks

I believe it's cheeper to run lights at night when the rates are lower.

yup in Cali night is 13.9 cents per kwh day 15.5 cents its from something like 9 pm to 8 am

Depends on where you live. I have a fixed electricity tariff so mine is the same price all day.

If you live in an area of high summer temps there will be a major draw on the power grid during the heat of the day so night time growing would possibly be better.
