Is Orca film worth it?

I know, there is so many posts and debates over this already, but I wanna know what YOU think!
Clearly, Orca has better reflectivity and is 11mil thick too.....but considering the alternatives....is Panda (or another brand) just as good, considering the price difference?
Also, I found an "off" brand like Panda that is 7mil...would that be better?

I've only used Orca. Its very thick, tough and durable. And of course its reflective as a mofo.

On the negative...tape does not like to stick...must use really really good tape. (Black Gorilla 2x adhesive duct tape) And Orca is expensive.

So considering all of that is it worth the extra cost? Or do you think I'd be just as well getting some Panda or similar brand?

Any of them should be fine. Dont kill your budget here......do it on your environmentals and lighting!
Chit adds up quick in this hobby. Ugh.

Oh yeah....if you need it to block 100% light, confirm the product does so!

I've used both Orca and regular black/white poly that was thinner. They both work fine, but it really depends on the application. If you're just covering the walls, it doesn't matter which one you use.

I used Panda to cover a PVC frame once and "make my own grow tent". It worked just fine for that too, even with all the negative pressure after installing the fans. The above post is correct, use Gorilla tape and you'll be fine with either.

I agree with the posters above, dont cheap out on what tape you buy, go find yourself some white gorilla, that stuff is amazing.

Cheap stuff wont stick properly and you should expect it will fall off.

I also dont think it matters much between orca.panda film, painted walls or mylar....i mean obv some are better than others but come with a cost, as tint said, id rather spend that money on enviro or lights

So just paint on drywall would be a "better" option (considering all factors, including lower cost), OR better to just do PANDA or similar. Last time I'll ask guys lol...unless I'm replying. Thanks sooooo much BTW.

Flat white on drywall all day long.
F trying to manage film in that situation. So much easier to maintain. And no risk of moisture and nasty chit going on between/behind the film and walls.
