Well, from reading news reports and interviews on him I don't think he is planning on running for a 2nd term. He even admitted his numbers are in the tank so I think he may not run again to avoid the possible embarrassment if the voters decide to toss him out. That is the feeling and take from my reading.
But I am curious that my son had to show his birth certificate and social security card no less that two times to get his drivers learners permit.
I also had to mail in his ORIGINAL, not a certified copy, but the no shit original certificate in order for him to get a passport. I was a little upset about that as if it gets lost, that was the original. The post office said the passport people will not issue a passport without seeing the original.
Its strange when people want to see his birth certificate, they are called birthers when for the rest of us normal people, we have to show it for a lot of things.

He is bringing this country back from the brink of destruction in spite of the fascist right wing attempts to stall progress.

Well I guess Obama pulled one over on everyone..That darn Obama...I heard from a reliable source that he is planning on stealing all the silverware when he leaves...I also heard that he never even went to Harvard...Its all a lie...He plan on doing all the Kenyans like this...then he will change the name America to ObamaLand....man we got to do something..tell you what I got some teabags...meet me in front of the capital..I will be the one with the tin foil hat...OMG

I think it is way to early to see if he is competent yet. It is going to take at least another year. He is attempting to pull this country out of the 8 year retard that used to run things. I think it is fair to give him at least half his term to show any improvement.

I am not sure what that has to do with what I posted. I was just curious why everyone else has to show a B.cert. in our normal lives and the most powerful man in the nation doesn't. Other than that I could not care less about this and that about him.

Try to get past the birther thing guy....It screws up the conversation in which someone might actually say something that could be true....I too have a copy of my birth certificate that says certificate of birth...I use my copy when I needed my license in another state along with my ss card...had no problems...hmmmm maybe it just you ...maybe they don't like you ????

The birther issue is incredibly simple and even easier to clear up.

Our financial mess has many causes. Some have been brewing for years. One cause is historically spoiled American people like to spend more than they should, so does Congress. GW Bush wasted alot of money chasing evil doers in the middle east and feeding his buddies at Haliburton and private security companies. He created two "Viet Nams" in the middle east. Not to mention expanding government with Homeland security and the TSA. Seems like his version of "keeping us safe" was to create a lockdown in the USA...Patriot act my ass. Total waste of money and the bleeding hasn't stopped yet.

Obama is trying to out do Bush on fiscal stupidity and looks very capable in that regard, he's wasted money on cash for clunkers and thinks you balance a budget by spending even MORE money. Government cannot stimulate the economy, they can only impede any correction. His "healthcare plan" is wonderful if you like to have government dictate what you will do and how you will do it. Fucking marxist. Transparent government? What a fucking fascist liar. He sticks his nose into General Motors and illegally spends YOUR money on propping up a private company all the while
steering clear of any attempt to expose the FEDERAL RESERVE.

The fiscal irresponsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of Congress, not the President.
They are the ones who actually do the spending.

What you saw with Bush was more of a balanced Govt. One party controlling Congress while the other controlled the executive branch.

Bush's failure was to not fight the spending being created by the Democrats. Bush was a leader on foreign policy, but a follower domestically.

Today, we have ONE party controlling both branches and it is exactly the wrong party (democrats) to have in charge of fiscal concerns at a time like this.

We have gone from the frying pan into the fire.

Everyone is feeling the singe right now, but it will get much worse. This is only the beginning of the misery.

2010 is a chance to balance Congress. 2012 will be the chance to get someone with more experience in the White House.

Agreed Congress has laid down. Bush didn't help when he dove into the middle east. War and occupation costs money, lots of it.

Clinton's failing was a broad. He had many other failings too, but mangling the English language wasn't one of them. Maybe because he didn't inhale.

I saw the SCOTUS decide an election that had some very questionable aspects to it, alot of it hanging chads in a state his brother was governor in.

Under the Bush presidency, I saw the so called Patriot Act enacted, (none of our representatives bothered to read it, except Ron Paul) a blatant unconstitutional abuse of power.

I saw government expansion in Homeland Security, a huge waste of money and another brand of cop that is not needed.

I've seen douche bags that work for the TSA feel up women at the airports. Another intervention of government that isn't needed. Private business and government are supposed to be separate.

I've seen a trigger happy chicken hawk playing dress up soldier on the deck of an aircraft carrier.

I've seen the 9/11 report sweep shit under the rug. No mention of building 7.

I've also seen torture being called enhanced interrogation.

I saw two countries attacked, none of which had anything to do with planes in buildings. Going after Al Queda didn't have to mean creating two more Viet Nams.
I saw hundreds of thousands of innocent people die in Iraq as a result of bombs that didn't bring freedom.
I saw unaccounted for money being siphoned off to subcontractors and body bags coming home filled with kids that bought the nationalistic fervor after 9/11.

I saw enough of Bush.

I saw all this and realized that no matter how bad Bush was, that didn't automatically make Obama good. I wish others had figured that out...but they will.

I don't believe the role of world police is a wise one, there will be unintended consequences. The financial ones are coming home to roost now. Empires cost money.

Cracker you and I tend to agree in our assessment of Obama, but disagree on Bush...oh well. Peace.
