Is my plant ready to be topped?

Hey all. So this plant is a survivor of overwatering, and if you cant tell, the first true set of leaves are a little small. Basically, is she/he (dont know yet) ready to be topped? Thanks!

Yea she can be topped g. But I wouldn't just yet. Let her fan leaves get a little bigger so she can soak in the light . And have energy to heal faster.

Instead of topping, try FIMing. That should keep them from slowing down too much
Usually I shoot for fimming. Sometimes I go a little to light on the pinch and it only slows
it by a few days sometimes I chop a touch too much and it's just a topping. Sometimes it works perferct. Either way it slows it all down so the initial 2 or 3 levels of internodal catch up. Works like a charm every time and with dwc they fill out really quick anyway

So, this is my first grow, and im really inexperienced, so out of all your expert opinions, what method of pruning/training/cropping would be the easiest and most efficient for a newbie like me? (Thanks for all the replies!)

Hmm I dunno, a newbie doing LST carries risks of broken branches!
Gotta learn from the start sometime, but maybe not on the first harvest, when disappointment strikes hard
You’d have to be a dumass to mess lst up bro, simpliest thing ever, there are plenty of videos and threads/pages etc and tbh toppings even easier, saying that I only topped when I first grew, then next time around lst’d And never went back lol.

Wait a minute... i just realized... that plant is growing in a plastic popcorn container isn't it?

Yes it is lol, I was too lazy to go buy a new pot, so i drilled some holes in an old pop corn container and filled it with dirt lmao.

@Tiffj yeah I think Im going to top it, and once the new branches are growing, Ill use lst to pull them down and make all the colas the same height.
I saw that method in a youtube video about a space bucket.

tip: the branches are more likely to snap if plump with water, it's best to bend while the plant is thirsty. (or so they say)
Thanks for the tip! Greatly appreciated! Yeah I usually water every 4-5 days when the soil feels pretty much bone dry about an inch down. The soil I used apparently retains water (which I only found out about recently) so it can go a while without needing another water, and I don't water more than like a shot glass or two

Weight of the pot is a good indicator of when you need water, make a habit of lifting it and noting the weight. You will need more water later on, a midsize adult plant can drink half a gallon a day, easy. Hopefully your soil is not too heavy, it looks a bit lacking in perlite, what’s the product?
