Is mh hotter then hps?

I made a grow fridge with a 150w hps and almost 150w of cfls as side lighting. I have tons of airflow in the fridge and the temps stay at 78f wih lights on.
I made this fridge half way threw my last grow and it worked great.
My lights came with a 175w mh bulb and im a week into my second grow so i decided to use this bulb and the temps got up to 90f. So i turned off the cfls and now it stays at 79f.
Is this normal.... Would a 175w mh be that much hotter then 150w hps. It is more then 10f hotter.
Just curious if anyone has experience with something like this?

HPS should be much hotter than MH, but there's a wattage difference so idk

mh bulbs definatly do put out more heat than hps bulbs.
