Plant photonics. I have one 140w and two 70w.
Also a 56w dutch panel and a 300w from Vipar which I've not tested yet.

i have a pg-180 and i love the thing so far. it has really got my plants growing big they love it. i switched from a 125w cfl. and the led is alot better. i have a small tent which i plan on running a perpetual 12/12 in 6"x6" pots i will beable to have atleast 6 in different stages in the tent with good light coverage. they are good for smaller/personal grows since they produce alot less heat and use less watts. they do not cover alot of area tho.

How much coverage are you getting from the Plant Photonics 140w? I've been in communication with Mr. Boesch and he told me I would need his 280w model to replace a 600w HID over a 4 x 4 area or two of them for a 4 x 8 area. $2400.00, $3200.00 for the dual spectrum, is a lot to lay out for two lights!

excellent pics, proves leds are good i wanted the 120w prakasa 7 spectrum one, do you reckon this will still be ok, or is it best to hang fire, and wait to get at least a 200w one?

Are things like reduced power bills and lower heat output, which as such potentially lower your risk of being busted, included in the notion of "worth it"?

I would avoid any Prakasa.. save a little more and get a Plantphotonics or Vipar panel.excellent pics, proves leds are good

Well my PP 140w is in quite a small cabinet (50x120x100cm) so i top/scrog and the girls get real close to the light which makes the girls put on more weight. If i was you (which is what i'm doing
i'd buy a 140w PP and see if you like it then but another when you can afford it. I'm planning on buying a couple more over the course of a year or 2. I cn't afford to shell out all at once for 2 or lights but they're soo worth it.My laptop takes more energy to run than the 140w but it doesn't give me 5 or 6 oz every 2 months

If money is an issue which it is i'd just buy the flower spectrum and suppliment it with CFL or another LED.
I have the general purpose spectrum which does great. I think my 140w equals a 400w HPS in the space i have it. My canopy is usually around 16 to 12 inches from panel.

buying the cheapest light on the market isnt worth it. One of my 90Watts UFO from ebay lasted 1 grow, the other I am simply not using ... Most people here will recommend different lights from different makers, personally I grow with FERO lights because they have excellent customer service,a long warranty, and them grow big buds!! The newer lights have lifetime warranty...

Take a look at my journal in my signature, yes LEDs are totally worth it.

You can get Fero lights much cheaper here: http://www.mrbluegoo.com/led_grow_lights.html . You can also order them from China at Alibaba.com, maybe even cheaper yet. That way you can specify what spectra you want. Warranty repairs would be a problem, tho. Even at the link you posted, they're cheaper than PlantPhotonics. Fero has a Canadian branch, too. Shipping from Canada to the US is surprisingly expensive.

yes and if you are in Canada shipping from the States can be really expensive too!! hehe
The newer model at FERO's are exclusive to FERO and AREA 51, you cannot get a AF-600 on Alibaba !

il have to save up and get a decent led, def interested in the lower electricity costs and lower heat! and from the pics you guys have posted, nice buds! even if its not the biggest yield as what hps can give, its still loads to me, the most weed ive ever had at one time has been an 1/8th, so anymore than that, and good quality too, is good news to me
