is Jack Herer monoecious/truly hermaphroditic?

I have a strain that is supposed to be Jack Herer. I foolishly ran it in half of my room without testing it. At week 4 every single plant (about 30), simultaneously showed stamens, the beginnings of pollen sacks, in the flowers, mostly in the upper sections of the plants. I cut them all down :( I was running this in an ebb and flo hydro system, lots of lumens, fairly standard nutrient strengths, perfect photoperiods, perfect temp and rh. House & Garden nutes, with a small dose of sweet added. The sweet seemed to cause signs of overfertilization or root rot (a few leaves curling down and under and becoming skinny). So I monitored pH carefully and kept between 5.5 to 5.9, because pH below 6.0 root rot cannot survive. This fixed the problem in the leaves and everything seemed good. I also sprayed one time during week 3 with dutch master liquid light. Does anyone know specifics for Jack Herer? I have heard it does not like strong nutes and that it is susceptible to light leaks. I was careful in the light regard. I could have run a little lighter strength nutrient solution. I started at 1.0 EC/~500ppm and increased weekly with reservoir changes ending with 1.6 EC/~800ppm during week 4. Its not that strong. I still have moms. I am thinking I should try it (in a test room) in soil...? If anyone has any experience of knowledge of the strain, please help?
