Is it worth growing a few bagseeds/hermie seeds next to bought female seeds.

Lots of top notch genetics came from hermies.. you never know, it's definitely worth a shot.
agreed. most all good weed originated in the bottom of a lid, like my beloved chemdog lines I get it. albeit....chocked full of
hermie traits often, a real pain in the ass for those who dont know how to correct.

op is bored more than seeking new genetics to proliferate I think. i hope he doesnt water or feed too much, a common denominator found with
grower boredom

And how do you reverse a plant? Is Reverse or similar product still around? I thought they were banned, something to do with cancer lol.

1)And how do you reverse a plant?

3)I thought they were banned,
4)something to do with cancer lol.
1) I followed the directions. painted the liquid on the fan leaves one day, two days later the sacks dried up and the plant matured to fire.

2) Not sure about Reverse but there are at least two brands (optic switch)I know of. its plant lipids, stops the hormonal response of Hermaphroditus using ethylene gas

3) ? not likely, the stuff is used on commercial fruit and veggie crops daily for decades-check out ethylene gas in vegetable production.'re likely confusing this with the ghetto ripening action of acetylene, a welding gas, used by schmucks to early ripen produce. Our plants produce varying amounts of ethylene naturally with damage, room conditions, etc. some plants more some less.

4) never heard of the cancer link from eating melons from a plant who's leaves were treated once, please link me.
I always advised painting a confused plants largest fan leaves, await correction clone it and carry on. A drop of soap keeps it wet longer, maybe for better action. I would not lick, smoke or eat the treated fan leaves.

anti-ethylene chemical= Silver thiosulfate (STS) is used on flowers to reverse their sex also

Sounds like this was outdoor. Did you inspect the plants regularly? "when i chopped," The sacks form very shortly after the plants start to flower.
Yes, NW Florida outdoor fall/winter grow. Some frost, a few bugs and what not, all of which might have had a part in the hermie. I did tend my plants ever week or so, but often it was at night I just failed to see the male blooms. The plants were in weeds and brush for camo reasons.

I have no links lol, thought I'd read it here actually regarding the reverse, I was more asking then telling lol.

If you are running hermie seeds or seeds of worry, would using Optic Foliar Switch or Reverse work? Once you see she is a female. Theoretically this stuff will secure her sex and stop the hermorphing. I just read about this stuff the other day and am very curious.

From what I understand Reverse does just that. I have a couple breeding projects I want to start soon. And one being my Bruce Banner that throws balls and nanners. I'm hoping to use reverse, then take clones to breed with that by then will have the hermie trait removed from the line. Idk my understanding of breeding is elementary at best, but it will be fun anyway.

Cant be done sorry, with all the breeding done to date there has been zero successes. :-)
It comes back I take it. So Reverse stops sexual confusion in a given plant, not in the genetics. I gotcha, I really wasn't sure just made sense in my head.
