Is it worth defoliating?

Hey guys! First grow and first harvest soon!!

The front plant is almost done, Northern lights with amber trichomes on the top cola calyxes. The rest are mimosa evo and weeks away.

I've stopped watering the front Northern lights ready for the chop - is it worth taking the leaves of for the final days?

Thinking forward I would definitely grow the Northern Lights again, I'm not sure about the Mimosa Evo they are very bushy and a bit crazy, but they smell like skittles so we will have to wait and see ..

It’s a pretty controversial topic with cannabis. People who swear by it can only defend it with personal experiences and bro science.

I'm not sure which is why I was asking. I always see pictures of people's crop before harvest and many seem to pluck the leaves
Those that defoliate heavy do it usually twice, early and mid flower.

There would be no point no matter what side of the fence you sit to do it now.
You could also cause problems like rot by damaging the plant pulling leaves off at this point

Imo it's a matter of plant design
If you just grow it naturally i.e no training, then No not much point.

But if you train them often it gets too bushy and defol can greatly improve side branch growth.

Mimosa Evo was a favorite with friends and I.
The strongest high I've grown to date. Colors that make art near the finish.
#Leeski had a great thread full of pics if you care to do a search.
Good luck and enjoy.

Looking good, no need to clip anything. A lot of the time I’ll take off the big fan leaves a day or two before harvest, but that’s just to make trimming easier and alleviate my worries about mold in the dry. When it’s two days before, that just means I got sidetracked with some other shit and didn’t get around to chopping before lights on.
