Is it TOO LATE???

I live in Southern MD. Is it too late to take some clones to go outdoors? I know they take a week maybe two. Im using rootone powder that i bought at the local nursery. Is rootone any good for cloning MJ?

Help is appreciated. Will plus rep any one with good advise.

Will it have a reduced yield if i put them out in say 3 weeks?

if anything it is too soon. put them out now and you'll have HUGE plants by fall

Im aiming for monster plants. Idc if they reach 20 feet as long as they are healthy and producing bud. The more the better I always say....

Ya idk what your trippin on but the season has barely begun (check your avg. temps in your area to make sure the temps are good and youre not experiencing a warm snap). Where I'm at I can't go outside for another week or two!

Its getting a little chilly but i already have 36 plants hardening off out side and they seem to be doing just fine. They have been out there for a week now. One other Q? How can i ammend the clayish soil I have around here? without too much expense?

Grind the weed... pack the bowl... light the bowl.... inhale deep... Wait..... now exhale.... Now repeat until you feel like your flying with the birds. lol Bump.....

Best thing I can say is Dig a hole and fill it with better dirt because it really is hard to amend clay due to its consistency.

and no its is not to late to even sow a seed and put it in the ground. if your using clones that would be much better. a HUGE headstart!.

soil w/alot of clay sucks, i think the dig a big hole, add some fish guts and that sort of stuff and fill with good soil is the best option, maybe dont do so many plants,unless you got alot of time on your hands and alot of soil and amedments. if you dig a nice deep hole and fill with good soil in a well lit area you can easily pull a lb or 2 a plant. i'd focus on quality of the plants, not quanity.

I dont have the cash for the soil. Is there any way at all to ammend clayish soil on the cheap?

you could use a clay amender. it works for me.

not that i know of, but im not a big time outdoor grower so maybe someone else has a idea or method that could work......anyone? All i can think of is go find somewhere nearby with good soil and dig a bunch up.

leave it to fdd to come in and nail it, lol. couldnt of asked for a better source for info. just listen to him and all should be well. lol

and some perlite, and a little moss. maybe some compost, a few handfuls of straw, some dead leaves, a fish, ....

Anything organic like coffee grounds, tree leaves, grass clippings, etc, will help loosen clay soil.

If you can find gypsum, cheap, it helps loosen heavy clay soils, as well.

i have lots of used coffee grounds and alot of perlite and vermicultie. I also have composted chicken manure .
