i want to know if it is still legal to grow my own at home with a medical card if my minor child lives with me. would there be any issues with child protection services if the grow was locked up like any other prescribed medications? i haven't read or seen anything regarding this topic and would like to know.

I have no idea, but I feel going after someone for using cannabis as medicine would mean they could take away any child of any person who has to take pain medication.

No, they COULD argue that your "endangering the welfare of a child" by growing pot around them, but if you seclude it to a room with a lock on it, and as long as it isn't in common rooms, you should have no issue.

Just keep your kids out of your stash and you shouldn't have a problem.
Also, depending on the age of the child, don't tell them you grow, they could tell their friends and the next thing you know, outraged parents won't let their kids play with yours, blah blah blah....
Just keep it secret and legal and you should have no trouble.
Also remember that Nevada Law doesn't protect you from your land lord or employer if your caught to be growing or consuming cannabis.
