So this thread has been in the works in my mind for over a year easy. i caught myself getting extremely upset at the GIANT laundry list of work i had to do to get some rooms in order. this pile of work came at a time when my hands were very much needed on some scissors... and to change some diapers.. not only do i run my garden from home now full time, I'm also a full time parent because my spouse has a physical disability(accident), she's unable to lift anything over a couple pounds. being in this situation i let myself get into a very deep "POOR ME" state and started getting angry at all this work i have to do regarding my room and my house and my kids.... Then someone PUNCHED me in the face with some truth...

Beyond my own personal situation, I've heard several growers complain about trimming and planting and cloning and pretty much every aspect of gardening that isn't posting pics on IG... What we need to realize is we absolutely have it made. no bosses. no ceilings. its up to you how well you do. these are things that aren't in 99% of the jobs out there.

If your grow area is a mess... its because YOU didn't finish cleaning it...

If your yield was mediocre.... its because YOU made a mistake or cut corners on environment..

If you can't find an end market for your stuff... its because YOU didn't do what was necessary to make that happen.

watch this and ponder our situation as growers...

after seeing that for some reason it really set in my mind how great we have it... i wouldn't mind trimming 20 hours a day for the rest of my life now.. i don't mind spending time with my kids because they are amazing little kids and i get to see them grow.. i don't mind cleaning a house and keeping up on all the house work because it gives me a chance to really have a grasp on how things run and i can dial everything in for efficiency and save some $$$'s PLUS its great exercise bending over and picking up toys and clothes all the time!

If you make more then $30,000 a year you are part of the TOP ONE PERCENT of the world. everyone talks about the 1%... thats US. america is the one percent. we have everything we could ever want or need AND SOME. its time we start acting like it and enjoying this beautiful life we have as gardners!

basically, don't be jaded.. WE HAVE IT ABSOLUTELY MADE HERE!

*all this is from the perspective of someone in a legal state. if your not in a legal state... THEN GETCHA SELF INTO ONE.. lol

hey even those people need to be happy. they could be in north korea or be a pygmy in the congo. hundreds of millions with jobs should be happy they're not the BILLIONS collecting bugs to eat because the country they are from is a mess.
