Is it possible to make fertz' with things around the house?

There are loads of alternatives, though some so-called "homemade" recipes need you to have ammonia knocking around which might not be in everyones garden sheds ;-)

A basic recipe would be to shred fallen leaves (oak for example), soak them in boiling water and use as fertilizer.

You can also use things like distlilled white or apply vinegar to give your plants a boost. You should be careful because this lowers the pH of your soil, though vinegar is loaded with traces of minerals so is good for more than neutralising acidic soil.

Alternatively, chuck on a mixture of crushed eggshells (contain ammonia and break down slowly to release nutrients over a period of time), coffee grounds and tea grounds. This is a fairly popular mixture and is made up of your waste materials anyway.

If you want to find more, just Google "Homemade Fertilizer" and you'll see thousands. Those are just a small selection of ones I've heard of/read recently, I'm sure you'll find loads more.
