Is it okay to revert a plant back to vegetative state if it's in preflower?

The pistils just popped up no longer than 5 days ago and there's still very few. The plant is pretty small and I just topped it. I've been growing it 12/12 from seed so it's showing the pistils while it's really small. I harvested with 12/12 from seed a couple of times and I want to go back to adding a vegetative cycle in there. What are the chances of it herming? and should I do it gradually or instantly to 18/6? and if gradually at what intervals? I have an MH waiting around somewhere.

Hope someone answers you. I'd like to know. I would guess itwould just slow down growth for a couple weeks. I've read that some people will go 12/12 to sex early, then flip back. Is it because of the plant's size that you want to do this?

You should be ok, just going to delay things as it takes a couple weeks to switch back into full on veg mode. I have done this a couple times from seed in the past with no ill effects.

You can happily revert a plant into vegging at harvest time if you wish. The whole Hermie thing is blown way way way out of proportion. People make it out that if you give your plant a crooked smile it will Hermie. So long as you bought seeds from a reputable breeder, you can abuse the shit out of most plants, by which I mean beat them black and blue, before it will Hermie.

simple answer.....yes!

although it could take upto 6 months fpor the plant to get into a proper veg cycle (though the longest ive seen is 3 months) ....

the hermie problem in my experience is rare, but can happen if you either put it into flower before its in a fixed veg cycle, or if your crap at growing :P
i find cuttings from a flowering female are better than revegging the whole plant, buds usually get denser, and you can manage the plants size easier.

if theres some bits of bud left on your plant/cutting then leave it on, you may find the plant once revegged will take on a crazy form, its common for buds to start growing out of buds in flower, which looks quite funky!

rooting a flowered cutting and then placing it in cold conditions can turn the cutting purple, then place it into a fixed veg stage, and if you keep the plant small enough, it will stay purple with no hermie issues! (though dont try this if your inexperienced as you may end up losing your cuttings, you need to be able to keep your plant alive in the cold!!)

i think the shortest time i have revegged a plant from the end of its flower stage is 5 weeks,......i have revegged plants in there 3rd week of flower and they take upto 3 months for a stable veg state!

This makes me feel better. My babies are just now starting to show. Had one female and two males yesterday.
There is one plant that is a fucked up main-line attempt that ended up with three main branches instead of 4. I am REALLY hoping it is a female. Today it showed pistils, however there are a couple little noticeable pods too.
Since this is my first rodeo, I am simply waiting it out a couple days to see if it is female or hermie, as I am not experienced enough to tell a calyx from a male pod 100% this soon. Sure the pictures on Google help, but every plant is unique and some aren't so cut and dry for a new guy to be able to tell. Anyway, wish me luck!!!
p.s if it turns out hermie, it's going to be a sad day......lol

if you see pods i'm pretty sure it's a hermie man, just one pod could pollenate a whole plant or most of it if you miss it and didn't pick it off before it matures.. I wouldn't risk it, just saying though.
