Is it ok to smoke out of a plastic bottle?

I made a waterfall bong out of a 2liter. Its got a metal socket for the bowl. at the top. and u let the water out, in comes the smoke. Is there anything that could harm me by smoking like this?

To put simply, yes. Same goes for the metal bowl. I've been playing with and melting plastic and metal since I was 5. The bowl isn't as big of a problem as the plastic bottle is.

I've had some slight breathing problems from a bong made of a plastic bottle. They're fun at the moment, but fuck with your body way too much.

For me, at least, the high was fun, but I felt like shit afterwards from inhaling the fumes from the plastic and metal components.

Some common plastics when heated release a chemical known as BPA (Bisphenol A) which is very similar to estrogen. They've done lots of studies on animals that have shown it to affect brain development and reproduction.

The good ole waterfall....man that brings me back.....i would have to say SMOKING anything isnt good for you....The plastic is the only harmful item in your waterfall...but made properly it should be fine....just change out the cap once in a while.

I love gravity bongs. I have one made exactly like you described yours. You should be fine as long as you don't let your bowl over heat.

as long as you're not heating the plastic too much you should be fine, if you smell burning plastic at all don't inhale any smoke...even if you've just blazed up a packed bowl full of your finest. Weed grows back, your lungs don't!
