if no males wre around it may have self pollinated and there is a good chance that seed ,if its good, will produce a female plant. but no, just because you found 1 seed in almost an ounce, it's not 'mids',

I found seeds in my very expensive dispensary weed and grew a plant from the seed. The plant is not a hermi. Anything is possible I guess.

the term "mids" is subjective. it's like asking how long a peice of string is. if he says it's mids, it's mids. it has nothing to do with seeds. if i have an oz of sour diesel and i find a few seeds it does not in any way change the fact that i have a bag of sour diesel. unless you sold him a bag of brown your customer sounds like a whiny douche. you should tell him so.

Did you show him the bud before he agreed to buy it? If so complaining after the fact for a single seed seems kinda low.
Tell him you need the seed back - that it was part of a breeding project and slipped in on accident. Offer to weight the seed and give him the difference in bud, but that if he doesn't give it back you are going to have to charge him extra next time around for the cost of the designer seed.

i don't understand your thing about how long a piece of string is?? a piece of string can always be measured, and well, you can't really measure if something is mids or headies or kb or top shelf or what... just don't get the reference to how long a piece of string is is all.....

If you had a 10' piece of string how would you describe it? Long? Short? Medium? If you can't say how many inches, feet, cm... it would be very subjective. That's a tiny piece of string to me but is a really long piece of string to my sister.
The purchaser could say that the bud doesn't taste like grape, isn't purple, and has a single seed and is thus mids. I might look at the same bud and go, 'wow it is super piney, nice and green, and there was only a single seeds - awesome pot, must be tops.
