Yes you should have let it go, youll learn waaaay more and its what us pros do which is not be so eager to cut on the first small unidentifiable growth.

Still seven more left to kill :-)

You can leave it for a few more days so you can see how they develop and reference for future, it's a male, but it's not like it'll pollinate any other plants at this stage.

How long does it take to pollinate just curious ? I've got 2 really good female plants and just about to get 30 mixture non name seeds that are males and females. The last thing I want is for any of those puppies to pollinate my fems. :(

You shoulda let it go a bit, and take a cutting inside in a cup of water and let it flower, collect the pollen and cross it with a branch or two of another female!!! #science

After the pollen sacs drop a bit (usually in ~2 - MAYBE ~3weeks) I'd yank em. Any longer you risk a sac opening and your fan blows that stuff ERRWHERE, just takes 1. Good rule of thumb is as soon as you see a defined sac take it out/separate.

10-14 days is the danger line ime, at that point some strains can flower quick and start dropping pollen. I have 8 males running, they all finish and ready for pollen collection in 20-23 days.
