If i wanted to take some cuttings and my gals are about 4-5 weeks into flowering, they shouldn't have any problems taking root, right? Is there an ideal time? thanks
ideal is when they are vegging or very early flowering
but i have taken cuttings from around that old so give it a try
just dont change the light schedule
I have seen threads where people have been able to revert a flowering clone to veg by putting it under 24/0, but your setting yourself up for a lot of problems, like they said above me, you want to take them in veg state whenever possible.
right, but in order to determine that plants sex it must at least be a week or two into flowering... more even. so do a lot of people just take veg clones and hope they wind up female? do you have any tips for avoiding hermies? thanks

I don't think that's correct... You can see pistels on a female in veg after 3 or 4 weeks. But what I usually do with a new plant (I clone) is to take 2 or 3 clones and put the seedling into flower. If she turns out to be male or a hermie they all get the axe.
