Until generator tech takes a huge step forward buying hydro is cheaper.
In an off grid location where u need to spend big money bringing hydro in then I'd say battery bank solar/wind and used oil converted generator would be a real option.

Most people use generator to avoid the hydro company knowing your insane usage not because it's cheaper.

Hydro company?

Electricity companies are in the business of selling electricity. They're not gonna care if you use a significantly higher amount of electricity than those around you, as long as you pay your bill.

i think canadians call the electric company the hydro company?
yes, my new 7500 gasoline generator costs almost 2x as much to operate the grow room alone(dedicated meter) as using 100% electricity as normal, and that includes 220 baseboard heat, 12k ac unit, lights, fans, dehuey and misc without skipping a beat.

The electric company is actually called hydro one or Ontario hydro.
I think we all have the same advice regardless.
I'm working on converting an old diesel gen to run on old fry oil but even then the noise and inconvenience make it more headache then peace of mind.

Is that your bug?
It's my old car I have a couple of them now. U a dub fan?

only way to save cash using a generator is by owning a natural gas generator it is actually cheaper to run in very large grows 20000 watts and up . depending on your kilowatt charge . here its . 8 c and bull shit 8 cents service delivery charge so .16 total each kilowatt . i did some quick math can get a natural gas generator running natural gas can get this cost to about 11c per kilowatt it would not be worth it if your running under 20000 watts . cost of this generator would cost 10 grand . lol not for a tent grow . those gas generators murder the gas it will cost 4 times as much a month then paying that standard fee .

Had a couple of them back in the day. My baby was a slammed '63, seafoam(beryl) green, pan off resto, with a 1914 w/ porsche fan shroud. Then some uninsured tweaker lost control around a corner and totaled it. I window shop thesamba almost daily though. I'll have another one some day, but for now, it's a Honda and a Tacoma.

That sux
I lost one years ago
Got stolen
Now I bag them so they lay frame when parked. Unstealable imo
Or at least I'd hear the attempt.
The one in the pic was 2175cc with the Porsche shroud and a 200amp gm alt.
My newest one is 2200cc and I've invested so much I'm afraid to drive it anywhere.
Never had it dyno'd or at the track but it boogies pretty good.
I used to be a fixture on the samba site but I haven't had as much free time to spend in the garage

Nice.

Mine was static - dropped spindles, adjustable and narrowed, with spring plates. I'd probably bag one if I built it today. I owned that 63 twenty years ago.

My current Honda('07 TSX 6 speed manual) is on an Accuair setup. Love it. I also reflashed the software for an extra 25ish horses. I've owned a bagged F-150 before, so this is my second vehicle on air. The Tacoma is just a bone stock '02 TRD extra cab - camping, beach days, Baja, etc.

I was scoping this thing out the other day. Pretty good deal, considering the work/money put into it so far. I'd change a lot of shit though.

Seems expensive to me if u plan to change a lot of it.
Mine was pearl white from a Subaru when I bought it
Shouldn't have painted it.
I was looking the other day and there's a lot of good boned cars on there for under 5k
Might find a good year too

I was just thinking maybe swap the bumpers out for the originals, and switching the seats, panels and rag to tan, rather than white. Not a fan of Porsche alloys either. Prefer 5 spokes or stretched steelies.
