Is it appropriate to compare Obama to Hitler?

On my way to work this morning I passed a group of petitioners at the local gas station. They were gathering signatures for the impeachment of President Obama, and had large signs up portraying the President with a Hitler mustache. Now I happen to live in a so called "red county", but I don't think comparing the President of the United States to arguably the single worst tyrant that ever existed is very patriotic. I understand that people have the right to oppose his presidency, but Hitler? Really? I don't think this behavior paints our citizens in a very positive light. Personally I find it revolting. It's not as if he wasn't voted in... Twice. Then again, so was Bush.
You know who should really be offended? Jewish people. That's right. Hitler's just moved down the ladder of repugnant human beings to a more... cozy US presidential status. Nice! IMG_3413.jpgIMG_3411.jpgIMG_3412.jpg

Well in terms of the detriment to individual freedoms and movements towards a police state (Boston bombing reaction of the GOVT>() it is somewhat understandable...but what the morons are missing is that this is going to go on regardless of which puppet they put into office

You have to understand these are the same people who want the government to keep it's hands out of their Medicaid/Medicare. Very confused individuals.

Oh, these guys were a couple of ass clowns. I thought putting the camera in their face and saying, "smile" was a good idea. Make em uncomfortable a bit. They went on to say that Obama is a murder. I think you're thinking of Bush, I said. Well, you tell me how Obama's policies are any different? Ya got me there! At least when it comes to war. But these bitches weren't out here protesting Bush's presidency were they? I don't think so.

You must have must have missed all the "Bushitler" name calling that went on during GWB's tenure.

It is always appropriate to compare a sitting president with Hitler, or Stalin, or Gomer Pyle, or any other dimwit of your choice.

Not appropriate at all. But this is what democrats do on a daily basis toward republicans. Obama policies are a huge failure nationally and internationally and dems have to draw attention away from the facts.

Not fair at all

Hitler was a vegetarian
Hitler was Austrian and prone to suicidal thoughts.

And of course, GHWB was compared so how is this possible?

Obvious. Hitler was actually the boogieman made flesh to dwell among us.

Left/right, who cares? If anything, this presidency should teach us that at the end of the day IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER! Obama's got over 300 drone strikes to Bush's 50. That's probably mostly because we just have a shit-ton more drones, but still. Left or right, it's divide & conquer plain & simple.

The minute he opened his mouth, I realized he didn't pose much of a threat. I've just never been that scared of stupid people. Probably gonna bite me in the ass one day.

I always think of the Roadhouse quote. "People who go out looking for trouble are no match for people who are ready for it" or something like that.

We can usually ignore the mouthy ones.
