He has 36" height, total.
10.5" + 12" + 12" = 34.5"
The first dimension is the pot, the second is the distance from the pot to the screen, the last is growth from the screen plus airspace between the light and plant.
It is going to be tight.
My thoughts are, if he keeps the light output low for the first two to three weeks (initial stretch) using predominantly blue spectrum he may be able to keep the nodes tight enough to tie it all down. When the stretch stops he could up the light to fatten the buds while slowly defoliating from start to finish.
I just read that he is using a 200w CFL. Hmm, that really makes it tricky. Those are usually internally ballasted which presents a possible heat issue in such a tight space, it helps because you can keep the light just inches from the canopy.
Slow defoliation would be necessary since CFL's lack in intensity, it can be done without defoliating but the yield would suffer.
The only other issue is the size of the light and if he is using a reflector, those will eat up vertical space fast.
Soil + limited vertical grow space + CFL = far less than 450 grams per square meter
Still, very doable.
