Is glueing PVC pipe safe

I am looking around to figure out how to build my first bubbleponic system and I noticed a couple people glueing the PVC pipe they put the little red sprinklers in. It seemed fishy to me so I figured I would ask if it's ok to do that. Alsooooooooo I would rather not use PVC pipe at all but I can't figure out what the little water pump hub you can plug six hoses into is called, what is that thing!

Thanks for your help or no help in advance brudder.

Figured out the second question but still need to know if the glue is going to put any unhealthy chemicals all up in my roots' ass and in-turn putting chemicals all up in my lung's ass.

I don't know if it is safe or not. But, if you check out your piping in you house or apt where you stay, you will see PVC piping under your sink in your bathroom in your kitchen through out your house. Now, they had to glue it some how. How do you think they did that?
Now you may live in a very expensive place that uses cooper tubing instead of PVC tubing. But the rest of us have PVC piping! So this is one you are going to have to make a decision on!

I started with pvc glue no issues.. I mean they use it for drinking purposes.. not sure where you are thinking it could be bad for you or the plants.

I did stop using it in my aero systems though as it is really not needed when you just push them together.

Absolutely right.. If the post wasnt enough assurance you can always look at your materials and if they are NSF certified that means its been certified for drinking water.

As long as there is not high water pressure you should be ok just using joints. NOT WEED JOINTS LOL!

What this man sais. Unless under high pressure, why bother with glue? I have an extensive history with plumming in one area or another, and i've never once had to resort to using any form of adhesive. More often than not i simply ue some PTFE tape and some worm drive bracket things (all that experience but fuck knows what all the terminology is :P. No need for glues and such. But if you have to use glues, well, there is no harm, as said, they use that stuff in all kinds of domestic applications. If they can use it and it won't harm you in the slightest, then the chances are well, it's not gonna do bugger all to your plants.

pcv and pvc glue are fine as long as it is out of the light it will not offgass, and as long as what your putting in your water isnt corrosive is shouldn't react to the pvc.

another not about the glue apply it carefully and in a thin layer so when it dries it does not push the other pipe off the end because it will slightly expand, and i dont know how you could build a quality aero system without it
