Is Flushing A Myth

Hi Guys

I just read a lot of different opinions on this topic now and am confused. Some people flush and other people don't.
So obviously farmers don't flush the vegetables before harvest to improve taste - even though hydro tomato growers could easily do this.
I tried several times to harvest without flushing, but allways cure and to be honest i don't taste any difference and the smoke becomes very soft and sweet after the proper cure.
Anybody has THE answer on this. Is it a fact that flushing improves the final product? - i don't taste the difference and think that another 5-10 days of full nute would benefit the plant.
Looking forward to learn here. I'm thinking about just stopping flushing because it would just be sooo much easier to grow like that.

Flushing is for synthetic nutrients. I just pulled about a pound from my indoor. I miss calculated flowering time on a few plants, so half the crop did NOT get flushed. It's pretty obvious when I smoke one half vs the other. The non-flushed half has a noticeable burn at the back of the throat due to the synthetic nutrients and salts built up in the leaf matter. The half that was flushed smokes clean and smooth; no nutrient residue left in the buds/leaves.

So far as THC content, resin production, and quality of high go, it's all pretty similar either way.

Well - i don't think it's necessary in regular hydro using GHE too. I can't tell the difference anyway and a lot of people share that experience. I do flush, but just can't tell the difference when smoking the cured weed.

Hmm - it might be my taste buds that are not too good. I vaporize my weed and just can't tell any difference at all.

Hehe - so as long as i vape at least i could skip the flushing. Anybody know if you consume more bad stuff in the vape when not flushed? - if it's a health risk i will keep flushing - if those salts and stuff do not vape at 185* C i will quit flushing ;O))
