Canadian parliament member calls out Lauren Boebert for calling on US to invade Canada

I imagine she will win her district easily this fall and should have no primary issues at all with trumps seal of approval. If they win she could be on the homeland security committee along with MTG, Gaetz can zoom in on computer from his prison cell. Facts and character don't matter at all and patriotism is for suckers. If they win they will end up fucking themselves the most, just like Trump.

Elect these stupid cunts to run your country and you'll end up like Russia, crashing and burning at eyewatering speed. The beautiful dream can end faster than anybody could imagine.

Sorry, and yeah, there's plenty of safe seats where the wackiest most extreme person wins. CO is blue as a state, but the population is heavily heavily centered in a small geographic area, 50 miles east or west from I25 is a very different place.

she's an ignorant fucking idiot, which illustrates how many ignorant fucking idiots vote...
i just do not understand why sane rational people don't start loudly, publicly, INSISTENTLY calling for her removal, and the removal of the other idiots like her...do NOT accept the unacceptable...do not condone their heinous statements and acts, condemn them loudy, publicly, and INSISTENTLY

Trinidad is very much a conservative area in my experience. Not so much conservative as is bible thumping and anti drugs, more libertarian and stay the fuck away from my life and my wallet kind of conservative. Every other yard had a Trump sign back in 2020.

Colorado Springs is pretty conservative as well. Trinidad is pretty rural, I didn't really consider it, a town of 8k people is going to be trump land in any state. I would assume whatever little town is up near the WY border is the same.

That town would be a good setting for a trailer park boys type show.

Some of the founding fathers we’re also vile characters.
I can't argue w/that Cunning,Leafs and Bruins series are hard to read,if B's go down at least they rallied to make a series out of it,if that happens I hope the Leafs go all the way to give the tortured Ontario hockey fans something to celebrate,New England has had a good run of championships in sports and can handle a little drought, besides hockey is Canada's game and a Canadian cup winner is cool w/me especially if it's not Les Habitants.

Serious question. Do you write off the opinions of all those small towns? Is it not within reason to consider their life experiences and points of view help form their political views? Do others know what’s best for them?

Some of the smartest most self sufficient people I’ve ever met live in Trinidad and the surrounding areas. There is a sense of community in trade and services that exists outside the taxable economy I don’t experience where I live currently.

I read that Evangelicals are 17% of the population, how the fuck does a cult that small get to make rules for the rest of us based on their bat shit crazy cult beliefs?
Because it is built into their culture that not only do they alone know the truth, but they have a holy duty to administer it unto the rest of us because salvation.

Thats assuming only evangelicals vote for people who run on platforms that support their beliefs. How does the Muslim community feel about abortion? How about the Sikh community? There are a lot of Catholics in the Latin American community that are opposed to abortion also

If you start adding up all the groups of people instead of selectively targeting groups easy to vilify, you realize people are more complex than talking points.

(that said I myself am pro doctor - patient confidentiality and believe the federal government has no place in the bedroom)

edit: also 17% of the US equates to 54 million + people…….food for thought I wouldn’t consider that a small community

Some opinions are worth writing off, flat earth, qanon, Trump's big lie, lizard people, J6 was just a tourist visit and Trump's treason is no big deal, are among them. Being in a minority means having your opinion written off in a democracy, at least one that is functional and not overwhelmed by fanatics, fascists and fools cheating their heads off and rigging who can vote. Structural issues are at play here too and while close America does not meet the standards of a modern liberal democracy. The senate represents geography not people and has the filibuster, the president is not elected by a majority, the house is gerrymandered.

These people are most often told what to think and how by Foxnews and the likes of Tucker Carlson among other psychos. How come there are so many criminals and psychopaths among republican politicians? Could it be that there is a larger "cause" that makes them think character doesn't count for someone elected to an office that is most often unaccountable?

I mean I would hope not, considering we’re a Constitutional Federal Republic

Do you really think everything in your first sentence is what those people in small towns that vote R believe and that is their primary reasoning/consideration when supporting someone like Trump? When I read that it reminds me of other stereotypes placed on large groups of people to justify dismissing them as less than equal.

It's the way liberal democracies work or are suppose to, America has mechanisms in place that allow minority rule and most of it's problems stem from this fact. The constitution was amended several times because it is not perfect and the political system has not kept up with the realities of the nation and adapted to it. A third of every county are assholes, this is a fact, in America bigotry and religious fanaticism add to the burden the sane in the country have to bear.

Supporting Trump and the republicans it not a matter of opinion, but one of treason to the country, constitution and founding ethos of the nation. To be associated with the organization is to be corrupt, it is in essence a criminal organization and political front for domestic terrorism, we call that fascism these days.
