I am going to start up a 8 plant bubbleponics set up with 1 mother plant all under a 600 watt hps/mh.:blsmoke: I have access to a whole bedroom but am deciding on whether or not i need to build a grow box or if i could just grow in the bedroom without the box. Only thing that concerns me is that since my setup isnt taking up the whole room, how i would go about reflecting the lights and exhausting the air if i did it in the bedroom. Placing mylar all over the walls in the room for small grow area doesnt seem efficient. What do you guys think????kiss-ass

A simple 2x4 frame, place in the corner of your room with some panda wrap (poly with white on one side, black on the other) would work to section off your room. That way u can make a room inside the bedroom any size u want.

As it is placed in the corner u only need to build 2 walls. In those walls you could make a box frame for the fan, and a 2x2 sheet of plywood could be used to hang all ur electrical.

Remember electricity lines above the chest and water stuff below the knees for a good and safe build.

Good Luck.

there is actually 2 closets in each of the corners of the room. both of them are 3' x 3' and 8' high. I dont think that my 600 watt would benefit from this space. So i was leaning towards building a box using the corner of the room to give more space. What size box would be the best for light distribution and plant space, a grow box which was square like a 4' x 4' space or more of a rectangular box like 6' x 3'??? Having a spare bedroom i can basically build any size box i want :-D

Just make sure you have enough vertical space. 6 feet is good, no less. A lot easier to control the smell if you have it in an enclosed area within the room.

Dazbeast,

Make sure u plan ur venting well.
R u venting to the outside or inside?

Outside saves costly scrubbers, but may be more finicky to set up (holes in walls etc), but best for odor control.

As to size punk is on the money, ur height is critical, i would aim for a square and to maintain at least the 50 w per sqft ratio (based on a 600w) i would not make it any bigger than 3.5' x 3.5' feet, any bigger and u dilute ur light = light buds.

Also plan ur sound out too, panda film does not stop the whine of a 420 cfm fan! (If thats a concern al all).

Your closet would make a great clone/mother room instead of a grow room!
