Is a Blackstar 135w LED too bright for a seedling?

Will a Lighthouse Blackstar 135w LED burn up a seeding?
Should I use CFL lights to start off instead?

Not if it's at the right height. I would say 14" to 20" with that light for a seedling and then drop it till your nodal length is tight, but if you're more comfortable with CFL start it that way. Good Luck.
