Is 1LB of one plant possible using only CFL

I really really dont think so man. i pulled a QP with a 400 watt HPS in hydro and that was ALOT. the ammount of light that CFL's put out is soooooooo tiny, it would take a 1000hps watter or a 600hps watter AT LEAST, and think of this a 1000 watt kicks out about 114000 lummens, a CFL around 2000. u would need ALOT of CFL's and even at that ur causing ALOT of heat with 7 thousand bulbs! OBSENE.

i'm sure its possible, just not practicle. like fuzzy said u would need alot of lights. but i'm not discouraging u u might b the first, then u could teach me.

NEVERMIND, its possible but not throo 1 plant it takes MANY and MANY cfl's too, BIG ONEs. u get at home depot fer 15 each, a guy that was on here a while ago named ROSEMAN used to grow with like 30 of them bulbs in a closet FULL of plants all in DWC hydro tho. but that takes TONS of knowledge to pull off.

it would be tough to do if youve Never grown before. :lol: J/K ur asking for it with that name.

If your serious about getting any yield..cfl is not the way to go.

Its great for a little stash, but you'll never achieve any big returns out of it.

And if someone was to get an lb from a cfl grown plant..Ill eat my hat! :)

It would take about 50 30watt CFL's at 2000 lumens each. Totally possible. Weird but possible.

I'll eat my hat too.

Fuzzy, I think i remember that thread.. wasnt that the one where he was experimenting with AN nutes, and his plants stretched out, and got minmal in the end?? Bunch of running buds??
