OK here we go. I have a supernova from amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com that is about to be harvested and I don't want to waste time and electricity. started 2 seeds each of Barneys Farm Crimea blue and THSeeds Bubblegum, Germinating now. I have been growing on and off for 7 years with my medical card state issued. moved 5 years ago and waited 3 years to build my room. Had a lot of problems first year. Got some clones and came with spidermites. took a year and three foggings and 3 more coats of paint with lotsa scrubbing. finally got rid of that problem when my garage got flooded out and lost the next crop to mold. Tear down the walls and start over....SHIIIIIT!!!! OK all done water problems solved. :wall:
I have 2 rooms 4'X5'. 600 watt HPS in flower room and 400 watt halide in veg room. I have an in-line vent fan for exhaust to outside and since my garage is airy and does not get hot fresh air comes through vents. In the rooms now are 4 supernovas in flower with one about to harvest. (just flushed this plant) 4 AK47s and one purple something I got from a friend. These were clones and I kept them out of my room for three weeks while I searched for bugs and preventively sprayed. so far so good. I also have 2 free seeds groeing that I got from AMS. not sure of sex yet. I am taking 2 clones from AK47 for this new grow and will try to root them in my arogarden. I have 2 GH farmkits on their way to starta Hydro grow. If you have one of these let me know how it works for you and any suggestions.
Ordered a PH/EC/TDS meter so I can get the mixture of nutes right and ph levels. never used these for soil grow so it was all experimentation of nute levels. :fire:

so here are some pics hope you enjoy

Haven't posted due to Laziness and because there is too much information I needed to get to where I am.:blsmoke: Its day 28 since I started germination. 6 days of that and into my Aerogarden to start. Put an airstone in there to help progress and see what tiny bubbles can do. I have put a Blue crimea and a Bubblegum each in a 5 gallon bucket witha 6" pot 12 inch airstone and away I went on october5th.
Ph'd water and nute mix (botanicare 15 ml, fox farm bloom 5mland liquid karma 5ml) ppm is at 450 ( although when I checked the next morning I had 700 ppm in the bubblegum and I could already see nute burn so changed res and started over without smoking a bowl beforehand lol) last night changed res same ppm 450.
This is where I need some help!!
I could use some info about adding nutes between res changes any good thoughts or threads I haven,t found?? Also would like some info on adding epsom salts for the magnesium, used that in my soil grow with good results.

What a day here in paradise 70 degrees and 77% humidity My new girls love this but not the ladies in the flower room may have to invest in a dehumififier. OK here are the pics of my AK47s :weed:

OK to start I had to run my sulphur burner in the flower room. For those that don't know what a sulphur burner is and what it is for, I will try to explain. It is very high humidity here in the PNW coastal area. mold and mildew are my greatest threat for my room out in the garage that is not insulated. The sulphur burner will burn sulphur at a low temp 140 degrees and lightly smoke my room and the sulphur will change the PH on your leaves and stems to be less susceptible to mold and mildew growth. I burn it for about one hour no more than once a week. This is for greenhouses and grow rooms that are not part of your house. It stinks up the place and can be corrosive to a good paint job on your car so be aware.( my garage is detachedand I pull the car and motorcycle out of the garage for the day).

Now for the new plants. day 34 since seed. changed res today in the DWC buckets. Put the net pot into a fresh water bath while I cleaned the bucket. Refilled added nutes and Phed the mixture. put my newly cleaned roots into another empty bucket to air for ten minutes. Then put them back in fresh nutes.
While the plant was flushing itself for about 15 minutes I ran clean water through the net pot to get all the loose stuff out of the root system. I also put 4 teaspoons of H2O2 in the 4 gallons of fresh water to help hold off any root rot.
well here are this weeks pics 2 AK47 clones are in the GH Water Farms. The Blue Crimea and Bubblegum are in the 5 gallon DWC buckets. bubblegum on the right

Here are the updated pics of my girls.
Also would like to address the question of hydro vs. soil. I have always grown in soil and heard the benefits of hydroponics. after almost 6 weeks I am totally convinced that I have bought my last bag of potting soil. The growth in this short of time is absolutely amazing.
I have been thinking about my room arrangements. and had an oppurtunity to get a dual ballast 400mh plus 400 hps one ballast two plugs and one hood $125.00 and one MH bulb, also. so now I have a 600hps and a swithable 400 MH/HPS in one room (where my AK47s are) and this new (used) unit in the other. so Now I think I will run three or four plants all through their cycles all in on room. utilizing both rooms . that should give me a new crop every couple of months or so. '
ok the line-up
1. Barneys Farm Crimea Blues
2. T.H. Seeds Bubblegum
3 Crimea (r) Bubblegum (l)
4. 5. 6. AK47s

Been busy here and this morning I have time for an up date. Changed the reservoirs Friday morning. Bumped the nutes up to 1100 ppm mostly by adding more Fox Farm bloom. a ratio of 65/35 and just a bit of Tiger Bloom. I will be topping the reservoirs with a 50/50 mix this week.
The Bubblegum is getting a little leggier than the Crimea Blue. The AK47 clones are a little smaller still but decided that with the growth spurt coming it was time to flower.
It has been very wet and cool here and the humidity in my garage is running about 65 to 75 %. went and bought a dehumidifier and brought it down to 55-60%. I just need to get these next 2 crops in without the mold taking hold.
My AK47s in the Flower room are enjoying the extra light. three are at 5 weeks and 2 at 4 weeks. all are starting to fill out nicely.
enjoy the pics maybe in a few minutes

ok Finally an update been a depressing fall so far. lost my last soil grow to mold. My new dehumidifier was brought in too late to save them. The Crimea Blue turned into a male lol. so now just have the three plants and a modified room so the dehumidifier could be in there doing its thing 24 hours a day. the problem was too many plants in a wet environment. lesson learned. Just flushed and changed reservoir this morning just before lights out. plants look a little droopy in pictures but there just waiting to go to sleep.
nutes on fox farm schedule ec at 1.6 Ph at 5.9 water temp at 69. Also I ran the sulphur burner for an hour yesterday. need to keep ahead of mold.
