Irish man's first grow.

Thanks! and yeah, not many of us about!
Oh your mistaken. over here in canada, almost every other irish decendant grows, or has a family member who grows it. and there are lots of grows in ireland, but they are usually less than 30 plants. sometimes just a closet.

and as far as drying goes, i have a few methods, but my own method is a hybrid of several different styles. i tried to get the best from all ive learned.

but you have to addapt to your enviroment. with everh part of your grow. temp, rh, water ph. The list goes on. you have to either addapt to your enviroment, or change the enviroment (only possible inside) and usually costly. but it depends on what you need. if its a bit of grass to take you thru university, then it can be done cheaply.

but if you ever grow for money, its worth paying whatever you need to get the right shit. or start small and upgrade as time goes on (less risky).

growing is highly dependant on your situation, and how you choose to tackle it.

ill write you a drying guide. i will tailor make a special part with considerations on the island of ireland. as the humidity is different than my local, i will have to ajust some parts.
Ill figure it out tho. Ive grown all over canada. had to addapt to so many enviroments and climates. im probably as addaptable as the good ganja herself

i only meant it in the amount that post here on riu. then again i haven't fully explored the site. i know tonnes of people growing around cork. couldnt talk to them on advice since this is a stealth grow.. but yeah that's cool man! thanks! ireland is pretty unpredictable climate wise though!

Its the humidiyty fluctuation. that is the most dangerous part of drying. climate changes. you need to keep the heat and rh level.ill start on a guide for you. yer gonna love me for it. its gonna save you a heartache.

and i was mentored by a highly skilled person. as i now have a few tricks, its only fair i share.

I dont grow cheese cause i hate the taste/smell, and almost everything about cheese strains. but i know they dont grow too tall.

that said, my cousin tried some bf blue mamoth auto. Grew 3 times the size they should have. they took over the whole room.
He was being a idiot tho. he thought auto meant light cycle wouldnt change to flower. duuuuh, good one terrance. his brother horus is 14 and can grow better. terrys 19. idiot

lol! yeah the autos were just a timefiller while i grew proper photoperiod babies. also get some experience in both and learn the differences. and i'm glad cheese isn't supposed to grow to big. but either way i have the room so it's all good! as for smell, i'm intrigued in the differences also! can't wait!

Looking great cloudy, nice and healthy, a little '' cupping '' of the top leaves there, nothing too much to worry about but if it persists then move light a little further away . Cupping is where the leave fold up into a V shape, mines do it all the time, its actually a sign that the plant is growing fast as well so its not bad news.

I find cheese gross. even the texture of the bud itself is nasty. loose and spongy. thats been something i noticed with probably 75% of the cheese i seen. i just dont like anything about cheese. i find the high so mellow, i cant stand it. i like ganja that will twist my shit up. If it aint strong, i usyally avoidd it.

and good choice running autos for practice. i know no comercial grower who would even touch em. we arent into that shit.

and i have a recomendation if you like sativas. mandala seeds. their satori. it grows about 3 feet tall after 2-4 weeks of veg. but thats under a mh. dont use a hps for veg, or they will stretch like crazy. i dont know about cfl cause they arent practical for my application. i imagine they would be fine, but id recomend a hid.
be warned, satori is a mindfuck. if you grow and dry it right, you MUST be carefuk how much you smoke. the shit will fuck you uo. it happened to ne yesterday.

abd did you check out mandalas guide? verrrrry helpful

yeah i was wondering about the top leaves. but i'm glad it also means they're growing nice and fast. they love Biobizz all mix, thanks for the reccomendation bilbo! i keep my lights about 4 inches away, i think i'll up that to 6 inches just for the safe side. don't want to lose what little light i get from cfl's but i don't want to harm them.. and as for the satori strain. i think i'll hold off until i can afford a proper mh-veg hps-flower setup! it's one of the reasons i went for indica mostly, my cfl's. they do the job but i can see why people plee with cfl users to switch to mh/hps.. but the new place i found sell bat guano, gonna invest next time i'm down there. think they got worm castings too or something! was only able to look around for 2 mins and buy the soil..

So, there is a way to get free worm castings. a worm farm.

i highy reccomend buying the bat shittys. collecting is gross, requires compisting, and you will possible get shit on. andbif someone sees you, they will want to know what the fuck you are doing.

when getting bat shittys, it MUST be from fruit bats. i dont recomend any other. its cause they eat so much fruit, their shit is like 0-15-1.

You can also make teas. i have to do so in a huge resivoir, but for what you got, a bucket should be more than good. stir batshit tea every day, let steep for a week.

and as far as taroti, i imagine a t5 would grow em. that said, i just dont know how well.
but to putit into perspective, i tested a 6 week mature bid ( for curiositu, ive never smoked such inmature bud in years). i still got fucked up.

and mandala is excellently priced, awesome genetics, and great stealth and service.

but you cant buy direct off em unless you spend enough 240 us this summer.you would have to buy off a reseller ( i only buy mandala from them tho).

however, check out there description. im breeding lots more this summer to do trades. i only pollenated a couple flowers this round, but i might be making satori my main strain. im going to be producing a shitload of seeds. if you end up really wanting em, pm me a email addresslater on, and we can figure it out.

as for my current batch, i need em all, and the extras i have are already promised to others. but i can work something out.

And cloudy, are you really growing in a mop bucket? ahhhh, reminds me of my first grow.

my first grow was fucked in the head. I grew a mediorce plant with decent bud, but dried it to a crisp. it got you high, but tasted fucking nasty. i grew that shit in a large fishbowl and in dirt i collected from the dogpark. there were some floweres growing real nice in some real sandy gravely dirt. so i went with a spade and dug some up. haha got chased out of the park cause the cops thought i was damaging flowers. when they cuaght up to me tgwy couldnt believe i was "stealing public dirt". they laughed so hard they just let me go. the one knew i was using it for growing ( i was like 12 and had this look about me). they wished me luck and told me not to get busted. they were cool. but told me not to go fucking around in their flowers again. it was a hillarious start to a career. i wish i hadda got thier names. id send em some thank you cards and a picture or two. they would get a kick to see thier little dirt thief so sucsessful

i learned almost zero until i apprenticed under my mentor. but she was old school. so i needed further info to get to where i am. thats why i reccomend those pieces of literature. they will help tremendously.

Yes.. i am indeed growing in mop buckets. due to the space in the wardrobe i needed something more... rectangular.. and it was a tossup between large circular pot for €5 or perfect for my needs semi rectangular mop buckets for €1 that had more room for roots.... the choice was easily made. 8p funny story what happened to you!

Theres always a humorous start to every grow, so far as i know. unless you start our pro. i mean someone who really reaserches erry last thing,or has serious experience in botanny. but those people have serious resources to start. most growers start small and work up.

i do know a guy who started up with a slightly smaller setup than i got now. and its alot of work. without prior experience, the big ones are just to hard to start on. the first 3 years it takes to become a really good grower. and it takes time and effort. my buddy had way 2 many plants and he didnt know males ruin crops. he grew em to like 6 feet (these were indicas keep in mind) it took like 3 months veg, and then he ruined it all.

he was so pissed he sold me almost all his shit for half what he paid for it.

i sorta felt bad, but i told him in the first place to go smaller. ihe setup one that was 3 times the size the shit i was running at that point, and i probably couldnt have handled it at the time. and i already had years of experience.

but we all start somewhere. my buddy was a rich kid. i bought my first hid light off a dopefiend down town vancouver. garentee that junkie stole that thing from someones house or a store. but it was brand new, still in the box. i couldnt beleive he was casually walking around with that. in vancouver, if the owner caught up with you, chances are you are getting fucked up. Usually by several people with weapons. but that lamp got me really going. i needed a light, and lucky i had 50 bucks that day.we sometimes only got what we got.

but like i said before, there are cheap methods of obtaining things you need. they may require labour, but sometimes its a better way to go. however if you need to buy things, and you have no money,do odd jobs around town. save every € you can.

never steal anything. im not saying this cause you sound shady (you deffinitly dont) but people get desparate. its always best to wait.

i fel real bad for you tho. i have alot of resources, ad i rememver what it was like without em. ill send you some satoris this summer. ive never mailed any seeds to someone (always traded face to face) so i dont really know how it works. but never give your name and adress to anyone on the internet. And never order shit to the place you grow. if i had to say, pm me your email adress. then i guess you would have to give me a name to mail it to. and a adress ( not your personal address, or real name, a fake name i can mail it to). And to be honest, i wouldnt even want to know a persons name. it would be more comfortabe for both of us to stay anonamous.

im happy doing a good deed soley in the name of goodwill. I dont need to knlw who im helping. it would just be nice to know i contributed to someone elses sucsess. and the satori is probably the best sativa under 6 feet in height. eazy to grow. and it will just send you to the moon. satori is amazing in all aspects. and it yeilds good. if you use bat thittys, and worm castings you will have the best tasting, abd best around organic you can get

yeah when i read on here about people going mega big on their first grow i'm like "noooooo calm down!" like one guy rented a completely seperate house in hopes of having a massive perpetual hydroponics grow, on his first attempt! chucking in close to ten grand on the setup.. ridiculous!

don't feel bad for me man! i'll have a bit more cash soon and the setup i have right now is indeed for from ideal but it does a pretty good job. especially for a first try. wouldn't say no to a few seeds either. plus the help you're giving is greatly appreciated!

I feel for someone who dosent have alot of resources. I was there once. ill get you a few seeds this summer. im trying to get as many trades as possible, so giving away a few overstock will be no problem. ill have a few crosses and a few pure strains you can take your pick from. Ill let you know when ive got everything ready. ive already prommised a few from this batch, so ill have to give you some from the next. but 10 or 15 free seeds always helps when you are on a budget.

i garentee, if you can handle satori, you will like her. but real powerful shit.

just topped once on each of the top dawgs. one as an experiment to see how topping works and two, if it does work well, happy days!

iy scaloel..??? using a phone? but yeah. I've been reading a lot about topping so i thought "fuck it! i'm cautious enough! go for it!!" so i'll be keeping an eye on that! it also reinvigorrates the light boredom that is veg! and i mean slight. cos i still spend hours just looking at my plant in wonder!
