Hey everyone. I got a quick question on useful techniques to removing odor. Would an 18 inch ionic breeze successfuly remove (or at least drastically reduce) the smell of two skunky plants?? Any feedback or other useful, successful, techniques would be greatly appreciated.

constant moving air helps keep odor down best.
i dont use any filters. just fans and good ventilation.

so,yes, the ionic breeze would reduce smell in my opinion.

i used one for my first indoor grow, i still have it actually although i dont use it, it worked okay but if you think your gonna totally mask it, i dont see it happening, you need some type of ventilation to get that stinky smell out, then the ionic will take care of the rest, i had no vetilation 5 plants dwc and it stunk pretty bad, like if a stranger walked in they wouldnt knoiw but when my grow buddies came in all they said was, ''wow, smells like skunks,nutrients and a fish tank in here '' (exact words) so be careful get some ventilation and it will work better

i use to have a few of these around my house, they work ok at taking some odors out but there mostly for collecting dust particals in the air. making you have to clean this tar like sludge off the blades every month. imo look up the $5 carbon filter thred i made one of these and it works great evan just regular air smells better thru this thing.

Look up the Ionic Breeze. There was a law suit a few years ago. Consumer Reports claimed that the Ionic Breeze was total worthless crap that did not do what they claimed. Ionic Breeze then sued Consumer Reports for libel. Ionic Breeze lost huge! They very simply could not prove that the thing did anything other than blow air around. I guess what I am trying to say is. don't use one, they are completely fucking worthless.

Dont use the ionic breeze, heres something for you. (note: not mine but I do not want to link the source.)

What Other Methods Can Be Used to Control Indoor Air Pollution?
The 3 common methods to control indoor air pollution and odor, in order of effectiveness, are:

  1. Source Control: Eliminate or control the sources of pollution;
  2. Ventilation: Dilute and exhaust pollutants through outdoor air ventilation, and
  3. Air Cleaning: Remove pollutants through proven air cleaning methods.
Of the three, the first approach -- source control -- is the most effective. This involves minimizing the use of products and materials that cause indoor pollution, employing good hygiene practices to minimize biological contaminants (including the control of humidity and moisture, and occasional cleaning and disinfection of wet or moist surfaces), and using good housekeeping practices to control particles.
The second approach -- outdoor air ventilation -- is also effective and commonly employed. Ventilation methods include installing an exhaust fan close to the source of contaminants, increasing outdoor air flows in mechanical ventilation systems, and opening windows, especially when pollutant sources are in use.
The third approach -- air cleaning -- is not generally regarded as sufficient in itself, but is sometimes used to supplement source control and ventilation. Air filters, electronic particle air cleaners and ionizers are often used to remove airborne particles, and gas adsorbing material is sometimes used to remove gaseous contaminants when source control and ventilation are inadequate.

You are welcome to believe whatever you like but the unit does not do what they claim it does. The company that makes them could not prove that they worked as they claimed. You may notice a nicer smell but it may be that there was a worthless fan keeping the air from sitting stale. That and they accidentally produce ozone. (not an intended effect) Oops.

theres actually no fans in a ionic breeze...none...at all... do you even own one? know anyone who does? or did you google results for ionic breeze? i think the latter.
