Hello Rollitup! I just wanted to introduce myself to you all, and share a little about my med grow.
I am Medic8ed, I have been a mmj patient in mile high state for 2 years. I have had chronic migraines since I was young and have found migraine prevention and relief with marijuana. I have been smoking the herb for this benefit and other benefits now for over 20 years.
I started thinking about growing about 5 years ago, legal or not, and started studying. A lot of times I went to rollitup anonymously to read the boards, or other simillar sites if something wasnt in a book I have. About a year later, I had a friend who knew I was studying and was a caregiver approach me about helping in his grow. I was finaly able to get some hands on time with some beautiful plants, Bubblegum, Ak, MK Ultra, Pink Pez, DJ Shorts Blueberry, Tangerine, and the list goes on... A year later, I moved, did more studying, got my mmj card and started planning. After the planning I was able to do some spending.
I built my own 3 ft x 3 ft x 6 ft box for Flower, and a 2 ft x 2.5 ft x 3 ft box for Vegetative. I run a 400w hortilux hps in a cooltube on a digital ballast in flower, and I run a 125w cfl for veg. My biggest yeild in soil, with Botanicare nutes, was a little over 8 ounces off of 3 Grapefruit that I scroged in the 3 x 3 space, This was also my very first harvest.
Now, I have been growing on my own for a year. I grow 2 strains right now in a perpetual harvest. One is Aurora Borealis, I started from seed this time last year. The other is, AK-47. Its from a seed an old head had been saving for 15 years. He popped it last October, and I was lucky enough to get 2 clones from it. They are about 5 weeks into flower now, can wait to fire that up...
It has been a very rewarding experience so far.
I still feel like I don't know enough about the herb, so I hope I can get any future questions I may have, answered here, and maybe offer help to someone else less experienced along the way. Ill do my best to get some pics up of what Ive had in the works asap, Peace...
